Chaos Ichor (Alpha 0.1)

Whether the initial intentions are pure or dubious, when an overzealous scholar or alchemist attempts to create an item or cast a spell using highly unstable or potent magical materials, the creation of a mass known as a Chaos Ichor is often the result.

An opaque slime, the form of a Chaos Ichor constantly shifts in color, shade, and vibrancy, erratically altering its appearance of rainbowed ripples. Acting entirely on impulse, a Chaos Ichor is naturally attracted to strong magics, causing them to congregate near powerful artifacts or potentially seek out spellcasters.

As a being made up of unstable magics, the structure of a Chaos Ichor and the effects of touching one can vary greatly, with transformative effects happening seemingly at random. While simply avoiding a Chaos Ichor is the best course of action when trying to avoid their transformative properties, this is easier said than done, especially for spellcasters.

While a Chaos Ichor is able to transform and alter a creature's physical form, it is notably incapable of altering a creature's mind, nor is it capable of altering inorganic materials such as stone and metal.

Magic Attraction: If the Chaos Ichor has multiple target options, it will automatically target the last creature that cast a spell within 10 spaces of it. Additionally, whenever a spell is cast within 10 spaces of the Chaos Ichor, its movement increases by +1 until the end of its next turn. (Stacks)

Chaotic Transformations: Whenever a creature is dealt damage by the Chaos Ichor or when a creature attacks the Chaos Ichor with an unarmed attack, the creature is physically altered. To determine the alteration, roll 1d8. Alterations made through this effect are automatically reversed after 24 hours. However, if a creature is altered by the ability four or more times within a 24 hour period, these changes last indefinitely and require a Ritual of Purification to remove.
