Stickers & Thanks!
Added 2021-03-02 03:47:32 +0000 UTCOh yes, Patrons.... it's the end of the month, and you know what that means. Stickers, thank yous, and easter egg books. I guess they aren't really easter egg books anymore since I keep pointing them out. But still.
Credits are updated on the blog and upcoming videos, and stickers are in the mail for everyone who joined as Rockstars in February. I can't say enough how grateful I am for all you amazing folks who share some of your hard-earned money with me so I can make this content. If I think about it too much I'll start to tear up, so instead here's a photo.

The books I'm featuring this month are both about boilermaking. The shells and power sources, to be specific. Good books are really tough to find in the model steam engine hobby because all the good ones were written a hundred years ago. All that survives are generally crappy reprints from the 1970s or so. That's what I have here with Model Boilers & Boilermaking. The figures and plates are illegible and there's lots of praise for asbestos, but otherwise the information therein is gold. I'll be talking lots about that book in my upcoming boiler build video series. Stay tuned! The other book is all about gas jets, flue burners, and ceramic burners. Good stuff if you're interested in gas-fired boilers, which I very much am. It's, surprisingly, a brand new book. 2013! Imagine!
Stay safe out there, patrons! Wash your hands and don't hoard toilet paper, at least for a few more months.
