Stock Rack CAD model
Added 2021-12-19 17:44:16 +0000 UTCHey Patrons! Here's the CAD model of the stock rack that I built this week, in case you'd like to take some inspiration from it. I did not produce drawings from this, but it is built to scale so I could take measurements off the model while building. Perhaps you can do the same. This file is also on the Patron Drive as usual!

I'm sorry that the Lens Clips are not ideal for everyone. I'm doing what I can with the resources that I have.

Mr. Pete ran into this when he tried to convert a wood-cutting bandsaw into a metal cutter. A belt drive as the final transmission just can't deliver the torque. The final back gear drive to the spindle has to be actual gears.

2021-12-30 01:40:09 +0000 UTCI am SO looking forward to your new projects! Every one of them has me exited, particularly your upcoming attempt to back gear your lathe. I learned on a South Bend 9A that had incredible torque in back gear. I thought that machine would sing and dance if treated right. One of my disappointments with my new mini lathe is the terrible slow speed torque. All the best for the New Year Quinn!!!
