Patron files for August
Added 2022-08-01 18:39:08 +0000 UTCHey Patrons!
Here's the latest link for the shared drive where all the project files live. If you're a new Patron, this is where you'll find drawings, 3D models, CAD files, and anything else that I've generated along the way for all the projects on my channel. A new link is posted here in the main feed each month. Enjoy!

I made a big woodworking bench from a piece of 3" X 3' X 6' maple laminate that had been a commercial kitchen work table. As the top was well worn I flipped it over and used the underside. It's still doing well 35 yrs. later.

2022-08-16 21:44:20 +0000 UTCCould you just flip the top over and use the other side?

2022-08-16 01:00:00 +0000 UTCYah, I'm sure that, if this is really stainless, it's some very mediocre grade like 303. Or maybe it's just plated or something. Who knows.

2022-08-10 17:35:09 +0000 UTC"Stainless" rusts quite readily under the right (wrong) conditions. It depends on a very thin layer of atoms on the surface of the metal which. can be disturbed by a number of factors, including electrolysis (by contact with other metals), chemical (particularly acids as might be found in paper). 316 is pretty good, but SS in the 30x series is only barely rust resistant.
