Tired of talking about COVID-19 yet?
Added 2020-03-27 18:24:19 +0000 UTCHey Patrons!
I'm sure that, like me, you're getting emails about COVID-19 from everyone and everywhere. I just wanted to say thank-you to all my Patrons who are sticking with me through this. I know that many of you out there are probably losing your jobs or have other financial strains during this time, so that makes me even more grateful for those of you who can continue to support some weird YouTube channel. We're in lockdown over here like pretty much everywhere, and I'm doing my best to get all my work done while keeping isolated. Everyone in my family here is healthy so far, and we're trying to do our part to keep this virus from spreading. Thank you all, stay safe, and I hope that my content helps you pass the time! For those of you experiencing financial hardship, my heart goes out to you, and I hope for all our sakes that this thing passes soon.

(And thanks to all of you truck drivers! What in the world is the matter with toilet paper? Not just here; in Europe as well)

2020-03-30 19:22:40 +0000 UTCThanks for the update, Quinn! It's good to see you are well. We are pretty much locked down as well (NYC area), but there is a tiny little silver lining: people have started to take walks and we see more people a day than we would have seen in a month. With 6 feet separation, naturally.

2020-03-30 19:22:22 +0000 UTCOh, those both sound like very cool tools. Atlas made some awesome hobbyist tools back in the day. Their shaper and horizontal mill in particular were very well regarded.

2020-03-29 05:25:41 +0000 UTCLast year I had to stop sponsoring you because of my situation. You gave me a lovely and supportive note of encouragement. This time it looks good for me continuing my support. Kids good and same with my wife (my better 3/4. Happy wife happy life!).

2020-03-29 05:24:55 +0000 UTCThank you for all the therapy/ encouragement in Machining that you given me. I still do not have my machines setup. Or my garage cleaned out. I'm waiting on the concrete guy who was supposed to be here last week, and due to all this he can't come now. To pour the floor for my storage shed so I can get the metal out of my garage so I can set up my machines. To everyone in the Quinn Nation stay healthy :-)

2020-03-28 16:41:13 +0000 UTCYou are more than welcome. And we so appreciate the gap when you come back over in front of us. Especially those of us to work for FedEx Freight. Cuz we have radar on our truck that goes berserk and we have to get on the brakes because if we don't it'll give us a video. Then we got to go sit and watch the video and talk to our manager. If we get a bunch of those. Thank you so much and also thank your uncle for me :-)

2020-03-28 16:37:02 +0000 UTCI'm one of those annoying people who reminds everyone around me, "if you have it, a truck brought it". I have an uncle who was a truck driver and I have immense respect for that profession (and I'll never change lanes into your lead gap on the highway). Thank you for being out there keeping us all fed and clothed during times like this!

2020-03-28 16:35:02 +0000 UTCWell I drive for FedEx Freight so you know Quinn they got us still working. So people can hoard toilet paper. I just thank God and you started hoarding tuna. Cuz me and sprocket of being trouble so you did! Add pickle relish for me anyway I know she probably don't like that :-) God bless Quinn hope everything is well for you and your family through this trying time in our nation. Remember y'all if you see a truck driver thank him or her for risking their lives and their family members lives, so everyone else can stay alive. Because not even doctors nurses soldiers First Responders can survive without the American truck driver no one can. If you bought it or got it it's because of them. Okay I'm off my soapbox now :-) hope everybody else in the Quinn Nations doing great :-)

2020-03-28 16:09:30 +0000 UTCHey Quinn! Thanks for keeping going with your amazing videos. It's one of the highlights of my Saturdays and it's nice to have that bit of normalcy in this crazy time. Stay safe, be well, and skritch Sprocket.

2020-03-28 01:13:51 +0000 UTCOh, and to answer your question at the top of the post, YES, I've heard enough about Covid and toilet paper for this year. Yes, I understand the implications, but the plain ol' flu killed 10x as many people in China last year as their have been worldwide from Corona, and we don't even bat an eye at that. We just need to be sensible and carry on. Waiting for your next vid. I promise I won't make fun of you for using a plastic print-o-matic next time, but like to see your metal working part of the shop mostly. Carry on. :) Dean
