Disrupting a scammer for a WHOLE WEEK

This one shows just how manipulative some scammers can be. I attempt to disrupt a Bank Impersonation scammer called Faran for a whole week as I wait for the police to act.
You'll see the techniques and language that he uses to manipulate his victims. And because he had a webcam, we can see him as he runs his scams against US citizens.
Thank you for supporting me. It genuinely gives me time to create things like evidence packs for the police, so that they can pin crimes on these scammers. You allow these videos to be made public and they definitely help other people.

Hi, I work on Chrome and I am a huge Jim Browning fan! Browsers all need some way for developers to debug their web pages and we can’t tell the difference between scammers and developers. While we invest a lot in trying to make our users safer, I personally think there’s always more we can be doing! I don’t want to tip off the scammers but keep keep your eyes open for improvements and consider enabling enhanced safe browsing in Chrome!

I have an elderly family member who occasionally gets such pop-ups on her computer. I have "trained her" not to call anyone but me, and she doesn't do any online banking and doesn't even have a smartphone but so far I have been unable to figure out what she is doing to cause the pop-up to come up. There doesn't seem to be anything strange installed on her computer, and all she does is basically Facebook and youtube. Do these pop-ups come from Facebook Ads that have been hijacked? Is there a safe DNS I can point her to that may reduce the number of times she sees this? I run my own Active directory with DNS at my house and never see them myself, but doing that for her with one PC in the house is impractical.

This "Bedroom Banker" is truly horrible, because of the practiced voice and terms. He has spent time in Amercia, which makes him very dangerous.
