A Love So Deep: Future and Feedback (Update)

I hate to burden you with this but I come to you today with a bit of a dilemma to do with the current main serial A Love So Deep. The story seems to be well liked among a number of you folk but it is getting very little traction out there in the wider internet (and I do know that it is divisive as I have lost a few patrons specifically because of this story).
So, on the one hand a bunch of you are enjoying it, I am enjoying it, and I have plans for it. But on the other hand I am also trying to grow this patreon with kinky niche stories that people want to read but aren't so niche that the audience cannot expand. I am now torn on whether to keep forging ahead with this tale and trusting that it will find its stride or shifting that time and energy into a new main serial with a bit more mass appeal.
The switch from A Giant's Heart to Slave Girl was a lot easier since there was such a clear preference among you all. The decision was reinforced when Slave Girl found a lot new readers as the chapters went free. This one is tougher because I know a number of you are enjoying this one a fair bit even though the free chapters are flat-lining.
I realize I made a rod for my own back by starting the story on such a grim note and having such a deeply troubled character as the protagonist. That first chapter is a hell of hurdle to clear to get to the rest of the story. I'm sure it also hasn't helped that I'm taking so damn long to get to the futa content. lol
Anyway, in the end the decision will be mine to make but before I make that decision I wanted to reach out and hear any feedback y'all might have on it. If you have a passionate case for or against it continuing now is the time to make it, either publicly or privately. Please be respectful in the public comments. You can be as blunt as you like in the private comments, just know that I bruise easily. π

I might be a little late to give feedback but I'd like to give my two cents all the same. I will admit, right from the gate, I am *EXTREMELY* biased towards aLsD because I personally relate to the protagonist. however, I can't help but be drawn in to all the worlds you create, and I feel like of the fantasies you've written so far, a Love so Deep is quite handily the most vivid and beautiful you've conjured in your writing. I generally believe it would be a waste to scrap the story simply because it isn't popular with your standard horny audience.

I can understand the free platforms and the low amount a "reads" but that's gotta be to the "pump and dump" mentality right? Try to find a quick one to get going and these stories just arnt those types, in my opinion. You are creating a world in this story and that takes time.

I think that after it's released people who're browsing stories will be much more likely to continue reading. Do you have a tool to go back and check Slave Girl readership preβ and postβhandjob scene? I assume it's going to rise at that point. But iirc you started a quick release of the early Slave Girl chapters when you were already some ways into it on Patreon, so the free crowd didn't wait long for the smut.

Is it maybe that people are hung up on thinking it's fish people? I can see how that might turn someone off, but I get way more as a sci fi alien sort of vibe then like murlocs, and I'm loving it!
