End of 2022 Update

What a year.

What a shitty fucking year.

If you would allow me to open up a moment and feel sorry for myself.  In the short list of the most stressful and painful events that a person could go through I had three of them happen in my life this year, all of them unexpected and unavoidable, along with a host of other more mundane shitty things.  It was just a nonstop barrage.  I'm not gonna lie, 2022 damn near broke me.  If not for an absolute angel of a spouse I honestly don't know what state I'd be in right now.  I owe her everything.  And then, just when I thought I was getting the wind in my sails again, I start a subscribestar then afterward find out that the country I am currently living in doesn't have nearly the same protections for freedom of expression that the US does.  As I would really rather not get a knock on my door from the morality/thought police I quickly had to end that endeavor.  I know I pissed a lot of people off with that move but it is what it is for the moment.  This year sucked!

I say all of this in part to explain the erratic nature of my actions and updates this past year, the fluctuating quality of the writing, as well as the swift ending of Son for Hire.  Somewhere through it all I just lost the thread of that story and I needed to end it quickly or risk it not getting an ending at all.

BUT, 2022 is nearly over.  I pick myself up.  I dust myself off.  And I go again.

To all of you who have stuck it out with me this year I thank you yet again from the bottom of my heart.  Writing truly is my one great passion and knowing that there are others out there who enjoy it gives me joy.  Y'all were one of the bright lights in an otherwise gloomy year.

So what will January bring?  Honestly...I'm not sure.  Slave Girl 2 will continue of course and I will be finishing Prejac Zach as well.  Beyond that I have to really give it some thought.  I'd love to continue Jo White but I also know that it will be a challenge to write two world building heavy fantasy futa serials at once.  Usually I like to mix things up a bit so that if I need a break from one thing I can work on something different.  I've also got a gentle femdom noir detective idea that's bubbling in my back brain.  Or I could just busy myself with more random shorts.  We'll have to see where Chloe leads me.  Right now I just don't know.
