Update: Well...shit.

Hey all,

I am coming to you a very dispirited Grim today.  For those that don't know Paypal has a terms of service update coming up that has the potential to decimate NSFW small creators like me and the update kicks in very soon (middle of next month).  The biggest change involves using webcrawlers, which can even peek behind paywalls by what I'm told, to ensure their service is not being used for NSFW content.  I initially thought that purely written erotica was good but on reading their terms again the rules are stated so broadly it appears that ANY adult oriented content falls under them.  With my stuff being on the more kinky/taboo end of things I'll definitely be among the first against the wall.

I am still looking into things and weighing things up but it is very possible that this will be the very last month for this Patreon page.

To be blunt, I am so tired of being on a platform that barely tolerates me (and seriously limits what I can write) and using a payment company that outright does not want our business.  I am tired of living in dread of the next ToS update by Patreon or PP, which seems to happen every few months.  And I am tired of creating a legal product, by an adult exclusively for other adults, only to have the Nanny Corps feel they have to get involved.  I could try to explore other payment options but honestly the only reason I was on Patreon in the first place was because they took Paypal.  I just want to play by the rules and create kinky shit, is that too much to ask?

If I do this I am not sure what comes next in the short term.  I may jump to subscribestar or just focus on selling books.  Or I might just take a few months to go back and do some fun, free writing again.  I am way too busy atm though to make any rock solid decisions right now, this really couldn't have come at a worse time for me.  If it comes to pass I won't be disappearing or anything.  I'll still be around twitter and the free sites.  So don't be a stranger.  😊

As mentioned the final decision has not been made yet.  I am still looking into things.  I hate to give up what we've built here but I also don't want a permanent Paypal ban on my record either.  I wanted to give y'all the maximum amount of warning though in case you want to copy some of the paywalled stories before the page disappears.

As for the current stories, Son for Hire will be finished even if I have to do it over on the free sites.  This will be my number 1 focus now.  Jo White I am not sure about, I'll have to see where my headspace is at when the dust settles.  And Date Night with a Femboy will very likely be abandoned, I am so sorry.

Glum news I know but I felt it only fair to warn y'all where I was at.  I will keep you updated going forward.

As always my friends, thank you from the bottom of my heart.  This particular journey might be nearing its end but I feel blessed to have taken it with you.  💙

Update: I may have jumped the gun?  This might be as easy as setting up a new bank account and updating my Patreon info.  Still figuring it out.  (Forgive me, I am such a flaky dumbass!  LOL)
