A Simple Life: Chapter 178

Stepping out into the sun my breath catches as the fresh ocean breeze licks my bare legs and lifts the skirt of my light dress. Free of hair the smooth flesh of my legs comes alive as the wind caresses and cools. Shaving my legs was nothing new but having nothing but panties below the waist to block the sea air was a novel experience and with panties so tight and so thin I could even feel a tickle on my tush and private parts too. Even above the waist to feel the sun’s kiss upon my shoulders and the fine sea spray speckle across my upper chest and arms lit up my nerve endings in tingly new ways. Being so scrawny I was never one to wear tank tops outdoors, but as a woman what was scrawny became slender and becoming. I even liked the cold deck beneath my bare soles and the air wafting over my toes. Add to all of this the wonderful glow from my bottom thanks to last night’s incredible sex with my hung lover, the way my skirt swished around my legs, and the fact that the soft, feminine green did indeed took to the natural light like I thought it would and I was feeling more girly than a fairytale princess.

Everything just felt AMAZING!

The sensory joys were one thing but the buzz I felt on the inside was even more exciting. In very real way I felt like I had stepped out not just onto the deck but into the big, wide world at large. Sure, nobody nearby could really see up here on deck thanks to how big the Bella was compared to its neighbors but this was not like being out at the garage either. I could hear people on and between the other boats, I could see and hear the nearby traffic both naval and land based, and the whole of Haven Point was right there off the port side. In the relative security of the raised deck I could be out here amongst it all without exposing myself to the full brunt of the outside world.

Setting down the plates onto the low table near the chairs I sit and tuck my dress beneath my thighs so it didn’t waft up in an unladylike way when Grandpa arrived. I sit there with a big grin not really believing that this was really happening.

“You want a muffin, darlin?” Grandpa calls up from below. I giggle at his use of ‘darlin’. “They’re chocolate chip.”

“No thank you.” I call back, my feminine voice coming so naturally I only noticed it after the fact.

The very next moment my illusion of privacy is shattered as my voice had grabbed the attention of somebody down on the dock!

“Excuse me.” Comes a deep voice from the base of the ramp. “Anybody home?”

“Um!” In a panic I look to the door as my body tenses up to sprint.

Too late!

“Hey up there.” Peeking up over the ramp come the face of a lighter-skinned black man approaching thirty with a short buzz cut. When he spots me his chestnut brown eyes light up. “Oh my…” His voice fades a second until he greets me brightly. “Well! Hello there!”

“Um…h-hello.” I rise quickly, careful to keep my hands on my thighs to avoid flashing him. “D-D-Did you n-need something?”

A grin spreads across his handsome face as he takes a long look up and down my body. That look in his eyes. Oh my God! He was checking me out!

“Ahem.” He gives his head a little shake as he refocuses on my face. Climbing a few more steps I see that he was in riding leathers and that he carried a glossy black helmet in his right hand. He comes to stop just beyond the railing. “This your boat?”

“N-No.” I say. “It’s my G-Grandpa’s.”

“Niiice.” He nods, his eyes never leaving me to even look at the Bella.

I shift nervously under his thirsty gaze, only making myself appear more desirable judging by the subtle yet unmistakable way he licked his upper lip. Maybe he had a thing for twinky femboys but I highly doubted it just in the macho boldness of his interest in me. Unless I was misreading him completely I wasn’t just passing, I was passing with flying colors!

“Sorry, where are my manners.” He says with a most charming smile. “I’m Shaun. What’s your name?”

“Um…” Ten awkward seconds pass as I internally debate the answer before I finally blurt out. “Althea!”

“Good to meet you, Althea.”

“You t-too.”

He leans against the railing and gives his helmet a casual spin, trying his damnedest to look cool and mostly succeeding. “You a local or just visiting?”

“L-Local.” I say, my nerves coming through as demureness though not by design. “B-Born and raised.”

“Hmm, nice.” He nods as his eyes continue to drink me in. “You mind if I ask you a bold question, Althea?”

Uh oh! “Ok-kay.”

“Does that ring on your finger mean what I think it means?”

I lift my left hand and look at my twinkling promise ring, grateful for the forcefield it provided. Feeling braver with it on my finger I smile. “I think it does, Shaun.”

“Too bad.”

“For you, maybe. I’m n-not complaining.” Oh my God. Did I just say that? The cheek!

“Do I have a chance?”

“Not even one.” I say boldly. “She’s my one and only. And she’s v-very protective.”

“Damn!” He kicks the ramp with a laugh. “I heard the Ehkolie girls were something special but…GOD DAMN girl! You are off the scale!”

I giggle at his dramatics.

“And who is this brightening my entryway?” Just then Grandpa appears with two mugs of steaming tea.

“This is Shaun, G-Grandpa.”

“Sir.” He gives Grandpa a respectful nod.

“Please. Call me Mike.” He sets down the mugs then steps in beside me to slip an arm around my shoulders. With Grandpa here now any vestiges of nervousness or fear evaporate completely. “And you’ve already met my granddaughter it seems.” He plants a smooch on the side of my head.

“We just met.” He glances my way with the rueful look of a fisherman watching the ‘one that got away’ disappear into the depths. The poor guy seriously had the hots for me!

“What can we do ya for, young fella?”

“I was looking for my uncle and auntie.” He thumbs to the empty berth across from the Bella.

“Mr and Mrs Jackson?” I say. “You j-just missed them.”

“They’re off to Vancouver Island then back down California.” Says Grandpa. “Just left the other day.”

“Pff! Nice of them to let me know!” He rolls his eyes. “That’s my fault though. I shoulda let them know I was coming.”

“You on a ride?” Grandpa asks with a nod to his helmet.

“Yeah. I’m taking in the West Coast from border to border.”

“Ohh, that would b-be beautiful.”

“I’ve seen some sights.” He says with a sly wink. “So far Ehkolie’s been my favorite by far.”

“Yeah. We really got something special out here.” Grandpa says, completely missing the flirtatious subtext to Shaun’s words.

“Wh-What are you riding?”

“Honda Rebel.”

“Nice!” I smile. “500?”

He cocks a brow. “1100.”

“Ooo, the big bruiser.” I say. “Too big for me. I t-took the 300 and 500 for a ride though and absolutely loved them. Especially the five.”

“You ride?”

“Mm hm.” I nod.

“No way.”

“I’m saving for the new CRF r-right now.”

“A dirt bike?”

“It’s street legal.” I chuckle. “Barely.”

“You’re a wild one behind that pretty smile, aren’t ya?”

“N-Not so wild.” I titter. “Just a bit different.”

“Mmmm.” He nibbles at his bottom lip as his imagination takes Althea places I dared not think about.

“Althea’s always been outdoorsy.” Grandpa pats my shoulder. “She’s alway rip-roaring up in the wilderness.”

“She’s outdoorsy too!? Mother fu…” He lets out a huff and shakes his head, becoming ever more miffed at missing his chance at me. I couldn’t help but be amused and more than a little bit flattered. It was so cool that this man saw me the way I wanted to be seen right now. It was a heck of a boost to my fledgling feminine confidence. And being desired really has a way of making one feel sexy and I would be sure to funnel those sexy feelings my girlfriend’s way the moment I got the opportunity. I couldn’t wait to see her reaction when I told her about this. I just knew she was going to be jealous. Shaun looks me in the eyes. “No chance at all?”

“None whatsoever.”

“Damn!” We share a laugh.

“Huh?” Grandpa says, only now cluing in that something was happening.

“I gotta get outta here.” Shaun says as he jams his helmet down over his head. “Mike. Althea. It’s been a pleasure.”

“The pleasure was all ours.” Grandpa says.

“Have a safe ride.” I say to him as he clomps down the ramp. “M-Maybe w-we’ll meet again when your uncle and auntie come back to the island.”

“I hope not!” He quips as he steps onto the dock. “I don’t think my heart could take it!” He looks back one last time and just stares a moment then sighs, shakes his head and carries on for shore.

Grandpa and I watch him go before Grandpa mutters under his breath. “What an odd fella.”

“Come on, Grandpa.” I say, taking his arm. “L-Let’s eat.”
