A portrait and sketch of the new boots Christian Louboutin created just for the Glamonatrix show. These boots were in the works for ages, with multiple fittings by mail from Paris to LA with mock-ups in a different material, and also in person at the Paris atelier. Fun fact: a lot of pop stars ask to have copies of the shoes and boots Christian does for my shows, but he doesn’t allow it. Sometimes you’ll spot a pair that has just a hint of these unique styles, but never the same. Christian is a genuine, personal friend to me… we have a mutual loyalty to each other for over 20 years now. We come up with some outrageous ideas for shoes. There‘s a current idea that is so bonkers, I am sure it will be the most dangerous dance shoe idea of all time. 😆
