From the Wings: Besamé Mucho (Spoiler Alert!)

Here’s a video of the Latin dance striptease choreographed by my Danse Avec Les Stars partner Christophe Licata, performed here with my US-based dance partner Umario. The dance contains a melange of dances from Argentine Tango to Rumba.

This number isn’t in every show; it is just in select cities when Umario is available to come. He’s a top-level teacher and coach, so he’s always busy! I met him through my friends Michelle Visage and Leah Remini, they both dance with Umario too… both ladies are amazing dancers! Michelle also guided me a lot while I was in France filming. I would send her and Umario my rehearsal videos and Michelle would remind me that because it’s TV, it’s never fair, the production always knows who they want to win; they edit the performance footage to make or break you, they use camera tricks to make you look faster or slower… totally accurate. As a Libra, I dont like when things aren’t fair, so I was constantly crying foul, even if it wasn’t for my own benefit. 🧐

Anyway, we have a lot of fun doing this dance. It’s always a challenge, and there’s always more to learn and refine. I also have some videos of me performing this with Christophe in London, and in France, so I could post those as well.
