Greetings from Dallas, Texas!
So the other night, a gentleman at the meet and greet in San Francisco brought me a photo to sign from a camera club photo shoot I did long ago at Glamourcon, which was the original Playboy/ pin-up convention. We chatted about it, and last night he emailed me the rest of the photos, which I've never seen before, and had never been published. These are all unretouched, unfiltered images, which is really fun to see in this day and age when just about everything is modified. The photographer is Anthony Ho, and he also told me that day he was the only person to be shooting digital, because it was very new back then. This is probably 2001.
If you don't know what a camera club is, it's when a professional photographer would set up the shoot with location, model and sometimes lighting, and then amateur or aspiring photographers would get to take part and shoot their own photos of the model. Many of the Bettie Page pinups came from camera club shoots, and as you could imagine, back in the 50s to have a scantily clad model was very difficult to arrange, and from what I've heard, often times there would even be men who didn't even have film in the camera... they just wanted to be around these pinup gals.
I thought I would share these with you.
