Hello Brave Adventurers

Hexroll 2e alpha version is now online and available for you to test run at https://hexroll.app/generate.

What to expect?

This is an alpha version of the generator. This means that (a) there are missing features; (b) there are still critical bugs waiting to be randomly encountered; and (c) the service could suffer from some unexpected down time or the remote possibility of data corruption.

What's next?

Together with fixing any bugs, here are the things I'm planning to finalize in the coming months before launching the public beta:

Cave maps
Referee map annotations
Accessibility features such as keyboard navigation or shortcuts
Page content notes & editing
Read-only offline mode
More dungeon maps symbology (encounters, traps, statues, etc..)
VTT projection for dungeon and hex maps
Additional mapping features
Additional content

Most of these are already work-in-progress.

Getting Started

I've prepared a hastily-made (and cheesy) 'getting started' video (in this post and at https://youtu.be/VqPkgs5p_mY) and I will write up a detailed guide within a week or two.

IMPORTANT: This is the first time anyone outside of Pen, Dice & Paper (my three teenagers) have access to the 2nd edition, and there will be bugs! Please refrain from using any alpha version sandbox in any meaningful campaign until we get closer to the public beta release.
