Hello Brave Adventurers
Today's alpha rollout meets another milestone with the inclusion of the new cave generator. This is a big-ish feature that I'm very pleased with how it turned out.
There are still tweaks and improvements needed, but nothing that cannot be mitigated by re-rolling areas.
Moving forward, this new generator will open up more content options, such as monster lairs, dungeon extensions or underground areas for settlement locations.
Another new improvement is the addition of linked door descriptions to dungeon corridors. This is important for both referees and the future solo -mode. Any existing dungeons you already generated will get migrated to the new format when you first visit them again.
The majority of our Patreon community who voted for the color scheme survey preferred the saturated, more vibrant mode. I have now set this to be the default. Keep in mind that you can always switch back to the previous, more toned down version using the 'palette' toggle in map view.

New matching builds of Hexroll Backpack (0.9.2) were also released today.
There are other bits and pieces I'm working on which are important to establishing a stable service and are mostly hidden away. Notably the backend and frontend rollout pipeline are much faster now and the end-to-end availability of hexroll.app is now fully monitored. I am now getting alerted if and when there's an outage that lasts for more than five minutes. But this is not configured to wake me up at night - not just yet :)
That's it for now. Enjoy the crawl and beware of those green slimes!
