Why "Spoken Word" Makes me Nervous

This is the early access post for "Why "Spoken Word" Make me Nervous."  You should not be charged, if you are, please do not hesitate to contact me.

So, right off the bat, a few things.

1. This one's really long, I know I tend to say that a lot, but I think this is the second longest video I've made, and

2. This video is sort of off of the beaten path that I normally tend to go down.

The thing is that I've been seeing this kinda thing for a while, and seeing as how I have this platform, I feel like it's kinda worth trying to say something?

A lot of the time in the past you'll hear about musicians trying to fight against discrimination, traveling bands that had both white and black performers in the pre-Civil Rights Movement days would see a lot of these problems arise as they traveled around the country.

And, like, I can't speak to Hip Hop or Rap, I'm not a part of the culture, but looking at things from where I am, from an outsider's perspective (I'm a classically trained musician, that's about as outside of Hip Hop as you can get) I'm kinda wondering here if my perspective on the situation is worth anything.

I don't know, maybe this is an old discussion in the world of Hip Hop and I'm behind the times.

Regardless, I also wanted to have a video on my channel that talked about the kinda terrible things that the music industry has done in the past.

And if for nothing else, I'm sure it'll upset the unsavory types that appear in the comments section now and again looking for a debate about Wagner.

But in the meantime, thank you all for your continued support.

I literally could not do this without you.
