West Side Story: An Unappreciated Masterpiece

But really though, this was a lot of fun to go through.
Unlike a lot of my videos, there was actually a ton of information already out there on this work, probably due to Bernstein's popularity.
But because there was so much already out there, I actually haven't covered everything in just one video (that means we can maybe come back to it if enough people want me to).
Nevertheless, I really liked coming back to this film outside the classroom. I remember watching it over and over again throughout grade school whenever we had a substitute (for whatever reason this was always the film they picked) and I always couldn't wait for "America," it's just always been my favorite number.
Even if everyone likes to argue about its time signature(s).
