Sailor Moon Crystal Season 1 Review Notes

Episode 1: “Usagi - Sailor Moon -”

• HALLELUJAH. NO FILLER.
• I like this intro with the galaxy and hints at Serenity and Endymion. It’s like a vague promise that something much more grand is coming.
  • Also love the music.
• I know not many people like the art style, though I myself enjoy it. I just wish the animation quality was higher. Then again, Toei is infamous for its bad animation and outsourcing to studios in the Philippines.
  • I wish Ufotable had the rights to Sailor Moon. That would look beautiful.
• SAILOR V ALREADY EXISTS. YES. FORESHADOWING.
• Oh my god I fucking love “Moon Pride.”
  • It might be a very generic anime opening but I give no fucks. Admittedly, I do miss all the weird abstract shit from the ‘90s openings.
• Also I really like that Viz has the same cast for both dubs of the ‘90s anime and Crystal. Love that continuity.
• Usagi being a klutz is how she meets Luna. Nice.
• THE DARK KINGDOM. YES.
  • I love the green tint everything has, and the snow hints at the location of D Point. I LOVE IT.
  • Also nice keeping Jadeite’s appearance hidden.
• “I’m going to become a princess and I’ll never have to go to school again.” I love this girl.
• NARU. UMINO.
  • I still wish they did more with these two. The ‘90s anime kinda did, but… it’s the ‘90s anime.
• Oh. I thought Usagi didn’t know about Sailor V already in this storyline. My bad.
• He’s wearing a tuxedo in broad daylight. My fucking god. It beats the purple pleated pants, though.
  • At least Mamoru isn’t a dick like he was in the ‘90s anime. It felt more like playful teasing.
• Usagi going back to pick up her bag is so adorable.
  • “WHO THE HECK WEARS A TUXEDO IN THE MIDDLE OF THE AFTERNOON ANYWAY?” I’m crying, bless you Deb Crane (She wrote the English dub scripts for Viz, and SHE DID AN AMAZING JOB).
• Oh Usagi actually goes into the arcade in this. Much better to get acquainted with Luna more, the Sailor V game, and meet Motoki early.
• I still don’t get how Ikuko ran into Umino.
  • But Ikuko is very sweet. She wants Usagi to do well.
• Why is Shingo wearing those shorts? Like… what?
  • Also his voice is very raspy. Why?
• I do miss the monster design for Morga in the ‘90s anime (I think her name is still Morga). She was way more intimidating. I’d love to see how horrifying she could be with this newer animation. Oh well.
• “Good night.” Oh my god, I love Usagi.
• I’m enjoying this way more than I remember the first time. I think the English dub really helps.
• Oh I FUCKING HATE the CGI transformations. So glad they ditched them in season 3 for 2D.
  • I do love the music though. Actually all the music in Crystal is amazing.
• SHE HAS THE LITTLE DETAILS MISSING FROM THE ‘90S ANIME. BLESS.
• I like the little nod to the moon, hinting at that being how Sailor Moon got her name.
  • She didn’t just randomly come up with it like she did in the ‘90s anime.
• Oh Tuxedo Mask was already on the scene before Sailor Moon showed up. THANK GOD HE’S NOT USELESS.
• See? She cries before Tuxedo Mask intervenes, because CRYING WILL NOT SOLVE YOUR PROBLEMS.
  • Also nice showing him in the reflections of the glass shards.
• I do kinda miss the rose throw. Maybe if they found a way to make it actually useful and not have it all the time.
  • I. SHIP. IT. They’re such a cute couple, and have a healthy relationship here. Unlike in the ‘90s anime.
  • Also I would like my own Mamoru please and thank you.
• HINTING AT AMI, AND USING THE RAIN TO HINT AT HER POWERS. YES.
• Also I love the artwork they use for the eyecatchers.
• Awe, this ending song is cute. I think it’s called “Moonbow.” Nice hinting at Serenity and Endymion’s relationship too.

Episode 2: “Ami - Sailor Mercury -”

• Oh poor Ami. She’s so adorable.
  • Also, I love the faint differences in all the girls’ outfits, even their uniforms. Ami’s is slightly darker and way more poofy, and IT’S SO CUTE.
  • I just wish they were better with her facial expressions. When she was looking at Usagi, her face was totally still. I wish they actually animated it to show her wanting to be Usagi’s friend. Maybe laughing at a joke Usagi told to her other friends?
• Oh wow, Beryl actually looks threatening here, and they actually kept her face silhouetted. Holy shit SHE HAS CLAWS, and the twitching makes her seem so unstable.
• Oh right, in the manga and Crystal Luna has a secret command center beneath the arcade. I LOVE IT.
  • Look at her little paws on the computer. So cute.
  • Oh she’s keeping tabs on Tuxedo Mask. Good.
• There’s one yell in the distance when Ami walks away that sounds like “WHAT THE FUCK?” and it sounds hilarious.
• Usagi is so outgoing and friendly, I love her so much.
  • And thank god Luna doesn’t view Ami as a threat. She already knows Ami is a Guardian. Bless.
  • Also NOT HAVING TO WAIT TIL EPISODE 8 TO MEET AMI BLESS.
• AMI ROCKS AT VIDEO GAMES. YAS GIRL.
• Oh right the game gives them their transformation pens. I love that.
• Awe Usagi trying to reach out to Ami. That’s so sweet.
• “I am not a garbage can.” Unlike in the ‘90s anime, AND THANK GOD FOR THAT.
  • HE SPOTTED LUNA TALKING. OH MY GOD I LOVE THIS.
• Awe, Usagi’s laptop has a bunny on it.
  • Also nice integration of modern technology.
  • USAGI IS ACTIVE AND GOES TO THE RESCUE. YES.
• At least the disguise pen doesn’t give Usagi ugly hair.
  • Still, the guards are idiots.
  • Also I wish she went “Moon Disguise Power,” but whatever.
• GREEN IS EVIL, Y’ALL. GREEN IS EVIL.
  • Except when it’s on Sailor Jupiter.
• Monster designs still not threatening.
• UGH, UGLY CGI TRANSFORMATIONS. END ME.
• See? The supersonic cry doesn’t work anymore, and after this, it’s never used again.
• I love the little speech each Guardian gets.
• TUXEDO MASK TO THE RESCUE, ACTUALLY BEING USEFUL.
• REI. MANGA REI HAS RETURNED TO US. FUCKING BLESS.

Episode 3: “Rei - Sailor Mars -”

• Beryl actually giving us a sense of urgency.
  • Also meeting Nephrite and Zoisite ahead of time. I like.
  • Whereas in the ‘90s anime, Jadeite never interacted with the other Kings.
  • Actually I’m pretty sure Jadeite was already stationed in the East while the others were across the globe gathering energy and searching for the Silver Crystal.
• Already learning about the Silver Crystal.
• REI USING HER PSYCHIC POWERS TO SENSE THE ARK KINGDOM’S ACTIVITIES. YES.
  • I feel that shot of the shrine was missing something. Maybe Phobos and Deimos?
• Her name is Mii. CUE THE WII MUSIC.
• Ooh, the Demon Bus.
• Oh my god, Usagi was infatuated with Rei’s beauty. I FUCKING LOVE USAGI.
  • Also nice hinting at Usagi being bi, which she totally is.
  • Also I’m pretty sure Rei is gay in the manga. Then again, Naoko does hint at Venus and Mars being paired up (Also Jupiter and Mercury).
• Ooh, I like the coloring they used to ramp up the tension and show Rei’s psychic abilities.
  • She was sensing Usagi’s latent power, I’m pretty sure.
  • REI IS ACTUALLY REALLY NICE. BLESS.
• This version does a way better version at showing how the girls are all ostracized in one way or another. For Rei, it’s her psychic powers.
  • Can we appreciate Cristina Vee being able to perfect both versions of Rei? She is fantastic.
  • Omfg the Spirited Away reference. BLESS YOU DEB CRANE.
• The characters taking agency in learning about the Dark Kingdom’s activities. Yes.
• THE AWKWARD MEETING ON THE BUS. I LOVE IT.
  • Actually I love the way Naoko drew it in the manga. It was so cute.
  • Usagi hiding her blush with Luna, I’m crying.
• YES USAGI. CALL THESE BITCHES OUT.
• REI TAKING AGENCY TO SAVE USAGI. YES, GIRL.
  • Also hinting at the connection between Mars and Jadeite. I approve.
• The flight attendant thing is still hilarious, but I accept it more here.
• I still wonder where this even is. How big is the Dark Kingdom castle, and how are we not running into the other Kings or Beryl?
  • This does mean Usagi has to handle this on her own for the most part.
    • Huh. Mercury using the transformations to pinpoint Usagi and teleport to her… not sure on the logic but cool.
• Jadeite has ice powers. Cool.
  • I DID NOT MEAN FOR THIS TO BE A PUN.
• Usagi not sure on her speech about power and responsibility. My god I love her. Like she’s a mess but she’s trying.
• YES, REI, KICK JADEITE’S ASS.
  • I will admit… I hate Mars’ CGI transformation the least. I think the music’s a big reason why, along with the fire.
• Oh shit that destroyed Sailor Moon’s tiara. CONTINUITY.
• I love all the hints towards the following episode.

Episode 4: “Masquerade - Dance Party -”

• Oh how I wish this title was just “Masquerade.” Adding “Dance Party” to the end sounds so awkward.
• Shush, Luna. Let Usagi enjoy her manga.
• Wait… how did the newspaper get an image from the Dark Kingdom? The fuck?
• Rei and Ami’s friendship is so cute.
• Oh right, Luna doesn’t know who the Princess is yet. That memory got sealed, I’m pretty sure. Only Artemis and Minako know at this point.
• Oh meeting Kunzite already. Sweet.
  • ALL FOUR KINGS TOGETHER. BLESS.
• I love the girls’ dresses. They look fabulous.
  • THEY’RE ACTIVE ON THEIR OWN WITHOUT LUNA. YES.
• Mamoru and Usagi dancing together gives me life. So much life.
• Nephrite posing as a woman… I don’t know why I love this, but I do.
  • At least we show they can change their physical appearance.
• YES, THE NICE UMBRELLA SHOT FROM THE MANGA. BLESS.
  • Also nice showing that the transformation pen can do this on its own.
• YES, THE NEW TIARA LOOKS SO NICE.
  • I wish they kept the tiara upgrades for the future arcs.
• MOON TWILIGHT FLASH. YES. I LOVE THIS ATTACK. I just wish it got used more.
• Meeting all Four Kings of Heaven early on. I LOVE IT.
• Still not sure how I feel on the kiss here. I mean, at least Usagi isn’t drunk like she was in the ‘90s anime, and I think the manga? I’m not sure, I’ll have to go back and check.
• MAKOTO. YES.
  • I love the hints at their powers.

Episode 5: “Makoto - Sailor Jupiter -”

• Oh wow, Nephrite is still around when Jupiter shows up, and we don’t have to wait 25 episodes to meet her. Bless.
• MAKOTO TO THE RESCUE. AND THE ROSE EARRINGS.
  • Also love the cute bunny umbrella.
  • MAKOTO’S UMBRELLA HAS ROSES. BLESS.
• Makoto isn’t being actively aggressive. People are just intimidated by her. I LOVE HER SO MUCH.
• I seriously love Makoto coming to Usagi’s rescue all the time. She’s super protective.
  • VISIONS OF THE PAST.
• Usagi helping Makoto integrate is so nice to see.
• I ship Makoto and Ami so bad.
• OOH GHOST BRIDE. YES, I LOVE THIS FOR MAKOTO’S INTRODUCTORY PLOT.
• I love Rei sensing Makoto’s powers.
  • I wonder if the Dark Kingdom sensed Makoto’s power and sought her out. I don’t think that’s why this is happening, but it’d be a damn good twist.
• I fucking love Usagi’s pajamas and hair.
• REI IS SUCH A BADASS I LOVE IT.
• AWE, LOOK AT MAKO’S SCARF AND CUTE ROSE GLOVES. I LOVE HER SO MUCH.
  • HOW DARE YOU BREAK MY GIRL’S HEART.
• Usagi’s speech about love is so cute. YES, GIRL, GIVE MAKOTO HOPE. MY DAUGHTER EVERYONE. She is so much better her than she was in the ‘90s anime.
  • Yes this love thing is cheesy but EVERYONE LOVES CHEESE FOR A FUCKING REASON. IT BEATS EDGY SHIT FOR EDGINESS’ SAKE.
• Thank god we’re in the version that gets Makoto’s duality, showing off both her flower and storm powers, cuz both are a part of the forces of nature.
  • Also NICE PINK LIGHTNING IN HER TRANSFORMATION. I mean she’s the original Nora Valkyrie.
• The thing I didn’t quite get is why she has two lightning attacks: Jupiter Thunderbolt and Supreme Thunder.
  • I tend to assume Jupiter Thunderbolt calls down thunder from the sky while Supreme Thunder gathers static electricity much faster.
• YES, THE CRESCENT MOON WAND. Oh I mean the Moon Stick.
  • Still hate that name.

Episode 6: “Tuxedo Mask”

• Awe, Mamoru is so nice.
  • MAKOTO CALLING OUT USAGI’S CRUSH. I LIVE FOR IT.
• Tuxedo Mask having his own motivations and ambitions outside Sailor Moon that he’s actively pursuing. Bless.
• Wow, Nephrite is still fucked up from Jupiter’s attack. CONTINUITY.
  • They didn’t do much for Mercury and Zoisite’s connection, though.
• I love the lighting used for the mood as Luna talks about the Silver Crystal and foreshadows Metalia.
  • Also SHE KNOWS ABOUT THE SILVER CRYSTAL. GOD FUCKING BLESS.
• Minako communicating to Usagi through the video game. Why do I love this so much?
  • YES, THEM TALKING ABOUT SAILOR V LIKE SHE MATTERS CUZ SHE DOES.
• YES, THE COMMAND CENTER.
  • Also what’s up with these weird camera angles? This happens a LOT this episode.
• Okay, so Usagi fell under Zoisite’s spell in the manga, hence why she collapsed. Here… I don’t know.
  • Awe, Usagi and Tuxedo Mask are bonding and encouraging with each other. I LOVE THIS SO MUCH.
• SEE? MERCURY’S POWERS CAN BE OFFENSIVE WHEN SHE WANTS THEM TO BE.
  • Though this fight is very stilted and awkward, so… yeah.
• Beryl’s entrance is just… DAMN. TALK ABOUT PRESENCE AND THREAT.
  • Though apparently her power is to… warp animation? Okay then.
• God these camera angles and actions are just… what? Things are just… happening.
  • Also Sailor Moon’s speech was literally to no one. So… why was it there?
• DAMN, MOON HEALING ESCALATION PACKS A FUCKING PUNCH.
  • I assume that it burns away darkness, hence why it was able to hurt Zoisite. Like holy water being used on a demon.
• At least the show isn’t making us wait 30 episodes to learn the most obvious secret identities ever.

Episode 7: “Mamoru Chiba - Tuxedo Mask -”

• You can definitely tell Mamoru is lonely and broken, hence why Usagi is such a positive influence in his life. BLESS THIS VERSION.
• Dramatic pause. “Your bag.” I’m crying.
• Wow, we’re actually communicating with Minako actively discussing the threat at hand.
• OOH I love the terrifying ice fragments as you descend into the Dark Kingdom castle to speak with Metalia.
• Metalia’s groan is me waking up.
• Beryl has her own motivations AND A PAST ON HOW SHE BECAME THE LEADER OF THE DARK KINGDOM IN MODERN TIMES. BLESS.
• … What millennials buy DVDs?
  • I still love how they pronounce “DVD” in the Japanese dub.
• OH UMINO IS TERRIFYING, but nice way of using that for the plot.
• Awe I love their cute little friendship moments so much.
• I LOVE THAT POCKET WATCH. So much nicer here than in the ‘90s anime.
• Nice twist with Usagi not being able to beat Zoisite with her usual tricks. Again, great anticipation of the audience’s expectations.
• YO, THE GIRLS’ ATTACKS LOOK SO DEVASTATING. Too bad they don’t work most of the time.
• OH SHIT TUXEDO MASK THROWING A PUNCH. DAMN.
• SAILOR V AND ARTEMIS TO THE RESCUE.
  • There was an animation error at one point in the original where she was in her Sailor V attire before cutting to her Sailor Venus outfit.
  • Also I love they kept Venus’ chain around her skirt. Cuz her Love-Me Chain attack is from an actual chain.
    • On that note, I wish we got to keep the little brooch Sailor Mars wore from her late mother, and Jupiter’s rose belt for her Flower Hurricane attack.

Episode 8: “Minako - Sailor V -”

• SAILOR VENUS… I mean, Sailor V, HAS ARRIVED.
• … Wait, how was Usagi rude to Minako? Geez, Artemis, calm the fuck down.
• I seriously love the tiara upgrades. I wish they stuck, instead of going back to the normal original one next season.
• Wait… you used the game to train them? How… how does that… oh whatever.
• I like that Minako’s transformation pen is distinct from Rei, Ami, and Makoto’s. Nice subtle way of showing her as the leader of the Inner Sailor Guardians.
  • Oh I am so grateful that Minako disguising herself as the Moon Princess is an actual plot point here, unlike the ‘90s anime.
• “Codename Sailor V.” Very clever reference, Deb Crane. Clever indeed.
• Artemis looks very creepy as he talks to Luna… he frightens me.
• It’s weird. Sometimes the characters can’t fly. Sometimes they can fly without the bubble. Sometimes they have the bubble. How does this work?
  • I tended to assume Jupiter allowed the others to fly cuz of her powers over the sky and wind, and since she was glowing (Also the bubble was green, which is her color).
• MAMORU ADMIRING USAGI’S STRENGTH. YES. I AM HERE FOR THIS.
• What was Usagi’s plan to stop Kunzite exactly?

Episode 9: “Serenity - Princess -”

• Wow. The animation really stepped up for Serenity’s revival, and the flashbacks of the Silver Millennium.
• I still don’t get how they nabbed Mamoru. Like… how even?
• I kinda wish the other Guardians were bitter against Minako lying about being the Moon Princess. At least for a little bit.
• I love Usagi with her hair grown out. And it shining silver to show the power of the Silver Crystal… I just love little touches like that.
  • Wow. It’s almost as if they’re experiencing battle fatigue and actual fear at what their enemy could do.

Episode 10: “Moon”

• Just… “Moon.” Cool.
• Awe, I love Usagi’s family so much.
• THEIR OUTFITS ARE FABULOUS. I’M ACTUALLY CRYING, THEY’RE NOT TRASH LIKE THEY WERE IN THE ‘90S ANIME.
• Not sure how they’re breathing on the moon, nor how no satellites or astronauts have found the Moon Castle, but… magic, I guess?
• OH RIGHT the Silver Millennium Sword! It wasn’t in the ‘90s anime at all.
  • I just wish Venus got to use this sword more. Specifically, that she got to have a sword fight with Uranus. Oh well.
• Oh yeah. Princess Serenity killed herself after Endymion was murdered.
• Okay so in the manga, all the Kings of Heaven - save for Kunzite - had been killed by this point, with Kunzite dying in this episode. They kept them alive to expand Naoko’s plot line of each King falling for each Guardian. They did a crap job at making us care about it, but hey they tried.
  • For clarification, Jadeite would’ve been killed by Mars in Episode 3, Nephrite by Jupiter in 5, and Zoisite by Venus in 8… or 7. I’m not sure which honestly.
  • I do like their old outfits having slightly different colors, and the gemstones on their foreheads they were named after.
  • Oh my god their titles are so adorable I fucking love it.
• Sailor Moon casually going into space for her powers. Okay then.

Episode 11: “Reunion - Endymion -”

• I like the little touch of having the pocket watch only work around Mamoru.
• AWE, LUNA CARING ABOUT USAGI AND USAGI HUGGING LUNA I’M CRYING.
• Okay so… when Mamoru hypnotized Motoki, I seriously thought it looked like they were gonna make out. I’m crying, not from emotions, but finding this shit hilarious.
• OH MY GOD ERICA MENDEZ AS REIKA. I forgot she voiced Reika.
• Nice little nod to the Four Kings serving Endymion (The book with the gemstones).
  • For the record, Naoko studied chemistry. That’s why there’s a lot of this in Sailor Moon.
• Minako just casually carrying around a sword.
  • If only she was in America. Then no one would freak out. I mean, America has a gun fetish, y’all. Admit it.
• Awe, Minako freaking out over breaking the diamond is so cute.
• EVIL MAMO, GET THE FUCK AWAY FROM USAGI.
• YES, MAKO. SNAP HIS NECK.
  • Oh shit she fucked.
• For the record, Motoki remembered the command center after being brainwashed in the manga. He knows the Guardians’ identities. For some reason, they cut this plot point from Crystal.
• Do we need this super long transformation sequences right now?
• YES, VENUS, KICK SOME ASS.
  • Fun fact, her chain is actually meant to be based on anal beads. I’m not joking. Her attacks are meant to refer to sex since… you know, Guardian of Love.
  • Still kinda prefer the heart-shaped chain from the ‘90s anime but whatever.
• Luna trying to protect Usagi from Evil Mamoru hurts my heart so much.
  • YES, USAGI, KICK THAT FUCKER’S ASS.
• Oooh. I have to admit Beryl knows how to make an entrance.
  • Also it is always terrifying seeing villains in the heroes’ headquarters.

Episode 12: “Enemy - Queen Metalia -”

• Oh shit. So Mamoru is essentially an evil zombie. That’s… horrifying.
• YES, JUPITER, KICK SOME ASS.
• Okay, as much as I love Mercury’s making a weird pocket in space… where did this come from? I feel this should’ve been used before to give the Guardians a place to train.
• Not sure how I feel about Beryl using her hair for evil. It’s creepy but could we not give her anything else?
  • At least she’s an actual threat to the main characters, unlike in the ‘90s anime where she did nothing for 45 episodes.
• While I do miss Venus killing Beryl herself with the sword - not breaking the necklace, straight up running it through Beryl’s chest - the Love and Justice Podcast (Which I highly recommend) actually raised a good point.
  • So basically, they didn’t wanna kill Beryl. They thought she was a victim of Metalia, and that breaking the necklace would free her from Metalia’s influence. So her disintegrating was an unintended consequence.
  • Also WOW. BERYL HAS A LEGIT MOTIVATION. And no, it’s not spurned love - it’s unrequited love. She legit believed that Endymion could’ve been hers with Metalia’s power.
• Again, they changed this. After Venus killed Beryl in the manga, Tuxedo Mask kidnapped her and took her to the Dark Kingdom, and Sailor Moon followed. The Four Kings were already dead by this point.
• HOW DOES THE FLYING WORK?
• Ugh, I hate this confrontation between the Four Kings and Inner Guardians. It’s not even a fight. It’s just a bunch of explosions with characters standing still. I WANT AN ALL-OUT FIGHT DAMMIT, WHERE THE GUARDIANS ARE FORCED TO KILL THEIR PAST LOVERS.
• I am so happy Metalia is a bigger threat here than she “was” in the ‘90s anime.
• Ugh. The way they killed off the Generals is just… bullshit. It is bullshit.
  • Also I still find it funny that in the Japanese dub, the way Kunzite pronounces “Venus” sounds like “Penis,” which is hilarious cuz he was gay for Zoisite in the ‘90s anime. Admittedly… I still kinda ship it.
    • Porque non los stos?
• I am still really pissed that Sailor Moon was willing to kill herself in the present. I get keeping Serenity’s suicide as a past mistake, but Sailor Moon trying to do it in the present… why? Couldn’t we have her pass out from Metalia hitting her or something after striking down Mamoru?
  • Though I do love everyone screaming out for her, especially Luna. The voice cast did a phenomenal job with their deliveries.

Episode 13: “Final Battle - Reincarnation -”

• I don’t get it. How in the hell could a pocket watch stop that sword? Wouldn’t it be clear the sword didn’t run Usagi through? And how did Usagi then pass out if she wasn’t killed? NONE OF THIS MAKES SENSE.
  • You can tell this is the part I really hate, both on principle and execution.
• Wow, Luna trying to get directly involved to save Usagi. She’s way better here than she was in the ‘90s anime.
• I seriously wish the Inner Guardians got to have a full fight with Metalia somehow. Not them just standing with generic energy blasts and hand waving.
• Oh shit Metalia enveloped the entire planet. They did a way better job making her a threat than they did in the ‘90s anime. She’s actually terrifying.
• Luna willing to sacrifice herself for Usagi… my fucking heart.
• YES. USAGI WAS THE LIGHT DRIVING THEM ALL.
  • I am so grateful this version at least steeped itself in emotion, unlike the ‘90s anime which shied away from it.
• Oh shit, the souls of the damned. That is… horrifying. I LOVE IT.
• YES. THEM STANDING TOGETHER TO TAKE ON THE FUCKING DEVIL. I. AM. HERE FOR IT.
• Still hate those two frames they use to show her spinning the scepter. Like… guys, what the hell?

• I like that we have an episode after the evil is vanquished focused on the resolutions afterwards.
• Okay, so… the Moon Kingdom has revived? Does that mean… there are people here? Or is this castle just chilling on the moon for like no reason? Also how in the fuck is no one seeing this?

• Still kinda bitter each transformation doesn’t have slight differences in the outfits aside from the brooches. And the transformation is even the same, yet we’re treating it like it’s brand new?
  • I mean at least the ‘90s anime gave each form its own unique transformation.
• GROUP REUNION ON A BRIDGE WITH BIRDS AT DAWN WITH THEM ALL CRYING. MY HEART HURTS.
