A Collection of Books for Learning Persian (Great for Self-Study)

Persian has been one of the most demanded languages for which we didn't have content by you guys. Here I made a collection consisting of 4 books in 6 volumes for those who would want to learn Persian(Farsi) by themselves. (Of course, it doesn't mean they are limited to such use only.)

The list of books making this collection and the order in which we recommend that they are used.

1-) Persian grammar by Ann K. S. Lambton is a pretty comprehensive Persian course first written in 1953 and then reprinted with corrections in 1960. This course consists of 21 lessons filling about 290 pages total. It abounds vocabulary and includes a myriad of drills and exercises.

2-) Modern Persian Conversation-Grammar is another Persian course similar to that of Lambton, however, they are several reasons to say that this Method Gaspey-Otto-Sauer book is rather intensive compared to the former. It is also arguably a comprehensive Persian course for new pupils and a serious book for those who'd like to review their knowledge of the Persian grammar. It consists of 30 lessons which makes the bulk of this 300 pages book. This book is added to the collection to supplement the short-comings of the first book. They can be told to complement each other for self-learners.

3-) A Grammar of the Persian Language (to which are subjoined Several Dialogues) by Meerza Mohammad Ibraheem is also a grammar book, however, in this collection, it is to be used as a reference and a verb conjugation book, considering its design and the amount of examples provided in it. This 280 pages book will come in handy whenever you would like to look something up regarding Persian grammar. (The book also includes a lot of text in Persian with facing English translation.)

4-) The Persian Reader is a 3 volume collection consisting of excerpts and quotes from original Persian texts with neat facing English translation. A through study of this 500 pages reader upon study of the former books will ready you up for real-world consumption of content originally written in Persian.
