FAFNIR THE TERRIBLE (sometimes Fafnir The Magnificent)
Added 2019-11-22 07:09:32 +0000 UTCThe great Crimson General. Among warrior-caste WYRMS there is none superior. A veteran of the Tiamat conflict where he distinguished himself among the ranks. He serves King ANU for now but has little loyalty to any of the royals.
The General is a crimson-scale and of the Drake class which make him highblood but he never joined the Royal houses though he was offered a daughter of ANU who he spurned. His nemesis role with Siegfried is still under construction but Fafnir is an important character in the northland winter wars arc between WOLF and WYRM, if i ever get to draw that stuff its gonna be nuts. A comic completely about dragons going to war with werewolf knights.

he is a pure WYRM. he fought on TIAMAT when the earth was still a struggling colony. there are earth-apes turned draconic though

2019-11-27 01:49:35 +0000 UTCSince in mythology Fafnir was a dwarf cursed to be a dragon, is it the same deal in WYRM or is he just a pureblood drake? Wouldn't surprise me if he was closer in nature to Grigori from DD than any of the royal line

Because I've recently reread the poem, and the dragon's given a surprising amount of respect; it's treated less as a monster like Grendel and more like a rival warrior. Would be interesting to see how you work with that.
