Not sure if you rewatched episode 1 by now, but no, Grisha did NOT give Eren the key in episode 1. It was only after the vision this episode that Eren had it in his possession. I love the sharpness in Eren's eyes when he proclaims he's going to kill all the titans on the boat, those jagged edges around his eyes make him look all the more furious. Mikasa is tough, scary, AND pretty as a young girl! Can't forget that too. Holy CRAP, she had a MASSIVE glowup between her childhood self and when she was shown in the flashforward in the training camp. Very beautiful design on Mikasa. And man, 250,000, 20 whole % of the entire human population in the world was sent out, and only a little over 100 survived. That's insane. I think it was Armin's grandfather that died while doing that, yes. His mother and father died during the attack I think. A neat little tidbit you'll have seen if you paid EXTRA attention to detail is that 3 of the members of the training camp at the very end of this episode that were shown were ALSO shown as kids for a very brief moment after the armoured Titan smashed through the walls as the people were collecting rations afterwards amd such. So they decided to enlist as well, so maybe they're similar to Eren in regards to motivation, since they were there during the attack as well. Great reaction overall as well. Can't wait for the next one.

No, the father didn’t gave him the key in episode 1. Also I would recommend after the episode go back to the middle cut and read the information card. They are appropriately titled as ‘information Available for now’ (or something in that nature.) Finally I’m sure you’ve seen this but please don’t read YouTube comments like you usually do. Maybe at least let someone vet them? Great reaction as always, and I’ll shut up now.
