I knew why she was like that to moment she touched her stomach and said " not in a moment like this" . It was her period. She was on her period that's why Guts said "is hard being a woman" I'm amazed more people didn't figure that out sooner.

"The man I would call my friend, would be equal to me, and would achieve his goals even if he had to raise his hand against me." To me, that is a statement of respect. A dynamic where one person is always following, hand and knee to another isn't something you can call a real friendship, something of equal value. He wants Guts to value himself more fairly. I think it's an interesting dynamic because it paints Guts in such an interesting way, that he reveres Griffith and yet, Guts is someone who wouldn't ordinarily respect the act of putting someone on a pedestal.

It's okay Zen, it's a pretty hard to listen to song, I don't think anyone can really fault you for that opinion lol
