Yeah, I think you can find a lot about a peoples' personal beliefs by at which point they decide for themselves that Kira is evil. For me it was episode one, but you see a lot of reactors, especially American ones, that take a while to see him as a villain. It's probably got to do with the death penalty still being a thing in a lot of states there.

It’s up for everyones interpretation but for me Light is solidly a villain and we really see that here I mean the sheer scale of death and the stone cold way he plans and executes the manipulation of so many
