I guarantee that you will get answers to most of your questions. It will tell lots of plots and backstories. Also, did you watch the season 2 teaser?

Although, in the episode a couple of times mentioned Crusch Karsten, so she is not forgotten? They all went to the city together after the death of the whale, right? So many questions, now the main thing is not to catch spoilers before the release of the second season.
