You don't have to wait because next weeks episode (well I am a bit late in this conversation so actually this weeks ep. )in the director's cut is going to be the first OVA, the actual show is going to continue in episode 8.

I very much doubt that the final scene is going to be included. Not true about the other part as well. Most Re:Zero fans that are heavily into the series and know the cut content are waiting for a multitude of different scenes spread throughout episodes 7 - 12/13 (wherever it's ending).
There aren't many big changes between the regular TV-series so far and the Director's Cut because everything in the regular TV-series thus far was adapted really well, with not a lot of important stuff cut, so if new scenes get added, they'll start appearing in episode 7. :)

I think the new scenes are easier to be placed in the later episodes, as of right now I can't see much difference between them - and pretty much everyone is watching for the last episode of the directors cut, where it will supposedly have new scenes going into season 2.

I love this episode so much, can't wait to watch the reaction. Was just wondering if you decided on whether to wait on the OVA or try and squeeze between this and next episode? While I would be interested in you watching it chronologically, it really isn't important to the story so the would be no problems in waiting till after you were done
