I have two dogs one is named Apolo and the other is Athena. Apolo is a black Schnauzer and Athena is a brown mini Schnauzer.

Sorry to hear about your loss, a good friend had a dog that I was always happy to see when I came to visit and felt like a member of the family, it was tough when she finally passed away. I may have to get a dog one day. Take care!

It's interesting to see this video up today. I've been watching some videos to try and get my mind off my dog that just passed away peacefully tonight. Having pets around is really wonderful . Personally I prefer to have dogs, I have had parakeet birds but they would somehow fly away from their cage. We've had our 2 Miniature Schnauzers for a very long time now, one of them has passed away today but he was able to live a full 14 years. It's sad definitely, I don't think any loving pet owner could not cry over their friend, but the memories really make you appreciate the time they were there with you. If you get a dog I'm sure you'll find enjoyment and comfort in having a friend by your side, honestly I'm a believer that a dog is a man's best friend.

Unfortunately I have terrible allergies, so I can’t have pets, I did as a child 5 cats and a dog but I would spend weeks in an allergy fit, was terrible feels awesome to be free of my allergies, just sucks I had to give up the love able little bastards

Pets are really wonderful for emotional support, even when cats seem not to really care at all. I grew up with dogs all my life, big dogs. There was a Rottweiler in the family when I was born and she was like a second mother to me, and I had a number of other dogs but the one that I miss most is a bull terrier named Max. We rescued him off the streets and he had many scars from being a dog used in underground dog fights. He was very aggressive at first, but with enough patience he became the sweetest creature I had ever met. I used to nap on him all the time as a kid, and my brother loved to ride him like a horse. He was a wonderful dog that protected us countless times. He passed away peacefully in his sleep when I was around 13, and to this day I still think of him. The two cats I have now are wonderful, they are cute and cuddly in times of need. I think if ever you feel you have the time for a pet in the future, you should give it a go. It's always worth the effort and they are always there for you no matter what.
