Our grasses were on today and our journey ends onto the manga

If you decide to start the manga just start from the beginning and skip nothing. As good as the 97' anime is, it still left a number of things on the cutting room floor, including whole characters, that become extremely important to the story moving forward. As for other adaptations, don't bother with the 2016-2017 anime as it butchers the story, has terrible animation, and is very poorly directed. If you want to watch the movies, they are available on netflix and cover most of the same ground as what you got in the 97' anime with a little extra added on to the end that explains how Guts survives the eclipse. The first movie has some dodgy 3D animated stuff, but the studio found their footing in the second movie, and they did an amazing job with the 3rd.

it was painful to watch that glimmer of hope that they wouldn't really do that to casca and guts get stamped out, but this is what we were all waiting for. The thing you can appreciate the most about Berserk is that it really makes you care.

you should read the first arc "the black swordsman", which is only like 5 chapters and go straight into the 3rd arc which is where this anime left off. (you should also read after griffith enters charlost's room as there is some dark issue that was left off)

No the 2016 anime ruins it. It's really not worth your time trust me, just go straight into the manga and if you feel like it you can check out the 2016 anime afer

Oh man honestly I’ve been dreading this episode since we started, I have a hard time suggesting berserk to certain people specifically because of this episode, the cruel ending to the band of the hawk ripped a piece of my soul out, however with great tragedy can come incredible motivation, one story ends and another begins........P.S those sunglasses were perfect lol

before you read the manga watch the 2016 berserk anime first pleasee! then after you finish it read the manga where it left off in the anime or from the beginning whatever suits you but watch the 2016 anime first, i would like to watch your reaction on those please. thank you.
