On the plus side the master chief collection has friendly Elites in flood firefight now. Very cool.

Yeah, adaptations can be a real mixed bag, and I don't know why. You'll get talented directors expressing both interest and being fans, and then they go with a much more generic, Hollywood-style blockbuster-attempt that basically has the universe you liked applied as a coat of paint like a duck blind. And then they blame the source material when it fails. Ah well. Maybe another decade from now we'll get a better version when someone with some juice decides to do it semi-indie like Deadpool.
