Really looked forward to the Kizu one reactions, the visuals are great for these movies! The series is great for rewatches too.
2021-06-03 01:16:21 +0000 UTCBakemonogatari was released in 2009 (written 2006) and Kizu (written 2008) was announced to release after in 2012 but delays due to production have pushed it all the way to 2016. Shaft took advantage of that time as you can see, it is absolutely beautiful.

This is not limited to only Bake and Kizu, Nisioisin is a master of leaving potential plor threads all over the place and pick them up later. It's basically one of the reasons why every detail in Monogatari is important, even if it doesn't seem like it on first sight.
