In the books, the "gravity" is explained by having the ships constantly either accelerating or decelerating at a force of 0.5-1G. So the it's not artificial gravity, just physics.

Ever since i realized that space ships can't bank turns in space (like we see in 90% of Sci-fi shows) i have trouble when i see this in movies. One show that i find tries to stay loyal to the laws of physics is the Syfy show "The Expanse". While they do have spaceships that have their own gravity (i'm guessing because having to VFX people floating all the time would cost a fortune), most of the rest of the show is based in real science. The characters feel G forces when they accelerate, their guns run out of ammo, people born in space have all sorts of health problems related to low gravity and sun deprivation, etc.

Best show yet. Keep it up!
