I really liked the first half of this show, especially the development of boji and the general themes. Sadly the removal of any stakes by the introduction of the ever present healing and most characters being redeemed way too easily as well as the terrible handling of Miranjo with the worst conclusion possible just left me feeling cold for this once promising show. Its still a decent watch if you like the dynamic between boji and kage.

I hated Miranjo's conclusion when it aired, but one thing I've come to realize is that no matter what punishment or suffering they would have chosen to give Miranjo, it would not have changed anything cause she's experienced the worst life has to offer. The pat of redemption given to her is the best possible option. She truly wants to change and is going to do that by helping as many people as she can. But Daida marrying Miranjo is still a very weird decision to make story wise. Yes, she was his light in that darkness, but the atrocities Miranjo committed to this particular family should have hit too close to home. Yet, the show's message of compassion and forgiveness over anger and vengeance was definitely the right move. In short, her character arc is still great , but there's more to explore.

I know that this episode is not well liked by much of the fandom; myself included at a time; but after rewatching it a few times.. I realized that it is very well done! It sets up everything for the next season beautifully, yet adds closure for some other characters. Daida marrying Miranjo is certainly a shocker, but i’m sure he simply sees it as a means to protect her.
