The Lebowski comparisons were interesting. I agree most with Abe’s point about the characters being more endearing. I’ve shown Burn After Reading to people who couldn’t get past how wretched the characters were. Even Brad Pitt, giving his best “Golden Retriever in a man suit” performance, is stupid to the point of carelessness. Would you really want him in your circle of close friends? BAR is still among my favorites, but Lebowski is more appealing to most because you actually would want to hang out with some of those characters.
