The lying shitty scum do not represent the majority. In any profession. STEM fields have a history and are working on ongoing problems with misogyny and the under-representation of women but so do (& are) comedy, acting & directing. This is not the first podcast on SmallBeans that has come across as anti-science. If that is actually your position, be more honest about it. If you are not trying to discourage us science types from listening & young listeners from careers in science/STEM please think more carefully about how you play this stuff for laughs. I genuinely love most of your work, but the science bashing is a jarring note that does your channel no credit. You guys are smarter than this. If you actually want to know how science works and genuinely don’t - real live, working multi-disciplinary science person here. I even work in tertiary education & industry CPD for my specialisation so feel free to reach out.
