If 1ups-ing via IGN gives you Big Beans extra financial security that can only be a good thing and I don't think you'll get any push back from patrons. Good luck with whatever you choose!

Regarding everything else I could not be more excited for what’s being produced currently and everything that’s in the works. You all are killing it! One last thought, I know this reference is about ten production diaries late, but hearing you two rap Run The Jewels and parody Nobody Speak brings me so much joy. Thanks for making great content.

2021-08-13 15:14:48 +0000 UTCHey just wanted to chip in and say, (a) I love the transparency on this feed, and (b) for whatever one dude’s opinion is worth I am totally cool with 1Upsmanship going to IGN — especially if the format is essentially going to be the same. Subbing to a second feed doesn’t negatively affect me in any way. And if it benefits Small Beans in a macro sense, well, I’m all for things that benefit Small Beans which is why I’m here at all.

2021-08-12 16:18:24 +0000 UTCI guess I can't speak for anyone else, but I'm fine with 1upsmanship moving to a new home. It might be smart to replace it with something (a show where you deconstruct Shakespeare plays the way you did the Cohen movies? Please?) So people don't feel like the patreon is losing value, but (assuming IGN don't want me to give them money) I'm not upset about losing early access to that show. My diet of gaming-related content consists of exactly 1upsmanship, Zero Punctuation and Jim Sterling. Once in a while I'll watch one of Swaim's IGN videos, but y'know, I play videogames, but I'm not "a gamer" in terms of culturally, like it's not part of my identity, I don't really enjoy talking about games. Kinda like how I casually smoke weed all of the time, but I'm not all about it, I don't have cannabis posters and t-shirts, I don't want to talk about strains or tell you how high I got the other day, or how well I rolled a joint this one time. That's how I feel about videogames, too. Point is, I'm not gonna quit the patreon, you make too much good shit, even without 1upsmanship.
