I have to be honest with you, I think Discreet Charm is an incredibly rewarding movie. I LOVED it. So I don't know if I can connect the two in this case. But I DO appreciate the kind words.

I haven’t seen this movie but I loved this analysis. I’m always fascinated by movies that purposefully frustrate the viewer. From your description, if a movie like ‘Discreet Charm of the Bourgeoisie’ is a carrot hanging from a stick, this is like an empty string hanging from a stick.
