For what it's worth, Sudor (the violent ensign in Voyager) is receiving special psychiatric care from Tuvok via Vulcan meditation techniques and mind melds and such (though it is treated as unorthodox in the episode). Eventually, Sudor is forced to Die Hard his way through the ship, struggling with his desires against "valid targets" and dies saving g the ship before his arc can be resolved.
