Pocketcasts is now FREE (this is a podcast app)
Added 2019-09-24 16:40:39 +0000 UTCJust a big heads up the pocketcasts is now free on ANDROID and IOS!!! You should consider testing this out for the patron feed unless you are super happy with you current app.
A few reasons
1. Works with patreon feed (you can see video on setting it up over at www.sleepwithmepodcast.com/patreonfaq)
2. You can search WITHIN a podcast feed, if you want to create very specific playlists, like story only shows, or only TNG shows or search and find a really old episode like search for "besos" and see what comes up.
3. Has an awesome Alexa skill, you can say "Alexa, ask pocketcasts to play Sleep With Me Patron feed" and they will. (you have to set up the skill via your alexa app first and connect it to your pocketcasts account)
4. Sleep timer and all that other great stuff.
BUT there is one CAVEAT!!! Make sure to turn off "Trim Silence" and "Vocal BOOST" or they will make the podcast sound faster and the sound will be crunchy. This is one of the most common emails I get across all advanced podcast apps "Scooter sounds sped up or the audio sounds distorted" this is due to these features which are well intentioned but really not good for sleep podcasts- Here's how
