Monday 'Minder - Normal Cycle of Episodes

This is just to give you an idea about the release schedule and cycle of new episodes. I will also do a Lens about this right now.

New episodes come out on Sunday and Weds.

We make three "styles" of shows- some of these terms might be new to you!!!

"Trending Tuesdays" (they used to come out on tuesdays) this is the term for random one-off or occasional guest/series episodes. So anything random along with episodes with Ray, unboxings, tale of tape, Carol King and anything else like that.

"Ongoing Story" are ongoing series like Nuns in Space or Big Farm in the Sky P.I.

"TV Recap" Mandalorian, Goodplace, Who, TNG etc. 

We almost always cycle through these three styles. EXCEPT right now...we are doing two "trending tuesday" style shows and then one "tv recap" (Mandolorian) until the new season of "Get Besos" is ready. That should launch for Patrons on Jan 26th.

Around major holidays in the U.S. I do run All-Intro episodes so as patrons you would get these a week or two before a holiday weekend.

This is to answer questions that come up about, what happened to "Trending Tuesday" or "Why are there so many TV recap episodes".

Also for the TV recap schedule...this is always subject to change...but as of right now it looks like we will finish up our Mando coverage over the next two months. Then cover the last three episodes of The Good Place and then return to Star Trek TNG.

I also realize that some people have their favorite types of episodes or a TV show they prefer, but this cycle of episodes styles is what I have found is sustainable over the past six plus years of making the shows. Each style of episode involves a different kind of work that drains a different reservoir of my energy and ability. So while one refills I am working on the other two. The same goes for the the TV recaps, I get into a zone watching one show, where I see each episode about five times and extract everything I need to make one podcast episode. I can only handle one show for about 7 or 8 episodes in a row and still maintain a sense of wonder and joy in the program, then I need a break from it for while.

I have thought about adding a higher tier to make patron only episodes for example making more Star Trek or Ray episodes, but it would need a pretty high level of interest for me to make it work with our time and $ budgets. But that is on my radar.
