Sneak Peak: Five Nights at Freddy's Project!
Added 2023-04-30 20:35:55 +0000 UTCHey all! We've been hard at work at something a little different for next week's video. We're converting a small dancing toy into Freddy from FNAF!
Five Night's at Freddy's is a hugely popular horror/scary game series about animatronics that come to life at night. It's by far the most requested character(s) we've ever had so hyped to be finally making one!
For our first go, we decided to make small version to get familiar with making the character. We might do more of these later that are much bigger, but that's To Be Determined. :) The FNAF movie is coming out this October so we'll see...
Anyway, here are some photos! It's a combination of upholstery foam sculpting, flocking, 3d printing, painting, and lots of new stuff we've never tried before. We used foam to get some good squash and stretch when he "dances", it's great!

We grabbed the 3D models from Sketchfab.com - You can just search for what you're looking for and most of them will let you download the 3D model. e.g. https://sketchfab.com/3d-models/freddy-fazbear-fnaf-1-fe5292bc862b4bc18db23c713eef6109 From there, we opened the 3D model in Blender (free 3D app) and exported an STL for the parts we needed. Hope that helps!
