Added 2019-10-24 03:04:38 +0000 UTCHey Fam! Here's a short video for you. Thanks largely to your support, we've just upgraded to a new camera, specifically to help us make more videos! A while ago, we identified a few key things that we felt were most important in helping us get more content out and one of the biggest ones was upgrading to a camera that is meant for this type of work.
Our previous little "point and shoot" camera did an amazing job considering it was never meant to do this kind of stuff, but it constantly overheats, the battery dies quickly, and it has all sorts of limitations which ultimately slowed us down in production.
We'll still use it here and there for quick shots (which is another way this helps us speed up production) but in general, we'll use the new Canon for all of the major stuff. Not only will it look better, but it'll be faster.
The other awesome thing is the camera has a microphone jack which enabled us to get a proper mic setup! Not needing to record audio to our phones and then remix it all later is going to help a lot on the editing side which ultimately makes us faster.
So yeah, thanks y'all! We're super excited today.
