Sneak Peak: "The Puppet" Animatronic
Added 2024-06-18 21:49:28 +0000 UTCWe just got back from an incredible weekend at Open Sauce 2024, a Maker/Creator conference in San Francisco dedicated to Engineering, Science, and Art. It was incredible! We got to visit Adam Savage's workshop as well as Mark Rober's Crunchlabs, and we spent a ton of time with some of our favorite friends and creators like Evan & Katelyn, Nerdforge, Little Gem, and like a hundred others. It was incredibly inspiring and I can't recommend this show enough! It was basically like an adult science fair overflowing with incredible stuff!!!
We were on a panel with Nerdforge and Bobby Duke Arts talking about making art. It was good fun. If they post it online we'll be sure to post a link.
We're back in town though and back to work on our next video...The Puppet! This is a character from Five Nights at Freddy's 2 that our fans have been asking us to make forever. Since it has a crazy jumpscare, its a perfect fit to try on our scissor mech. It's got a long, lanky body with a mask over it's a face and a super creepy, blank expression.
On our animatronic, the arms are animated to fly at you when the scissor jumps forward, and the head bends back as well. Lots of interesting new techniques!
Progress is good, we're almost done! Here are some pics:

2024-06-22 19:37:49 +0000 UTCI am super excited about this video. The Puppet is my Favorite Character of all time (besides Foxy) from FNAF. So seeing her (since the Puppet is possessed by Charlotte Emily) in real life, (Until the FNAF2 Movie comes out).
