Weekly Update 05/05/20
Added 2020-05-05 09:14:05 +0000 UTCBig and small changes coming to the patreon. Some of the changes you wont like and some you will. Please remember I can't make everyone happy. There's 500+ patrons here. I've taken in all the advice people have given and ideas people have been mentioning for months.
1.MMF- I've created a MyMiniFactory store. You can check the main pinned post for the members discount code and link. Things will go up there faster than the gamedecor store. I don't control the gamedecor store, but with MMF I can add things faster.
2. New Releases - Releases for now on will be at the start of the month. I know some like the random releases in the months, but many have complained, some even dropping the patreon for it. I will release 1 or 2 more sets in the middle of this month, but after that everything will be at the start of the month.
3. Previous Month Releases - Previous month releases will be coming down when I put up the new monthly releases. I've been very lenient with leaving up release, sometimes even 3 months up. Which has caused people to not download things that month. I get some messages of people not downloading things for 2 months. I have to be more strict about this now. I get too many messages of people not downloading things even after months of being up. Sorry if that sounds harsh, but I get tones of messages every week of people not downloading things because they thought they would just been there for longer. Of course I understand if real world things happen or maybe your hard drive messed up.
4. Structure - Right now the releases are all over the place and have no structure. I think the only 2 releases that have been consistent are D&D and HeroQuest. I want to keep focused on the main series I'm doing (overall nothing is really changing, just stating I don't want to jump around to so many different things.)
5. New Tiers & Pricing - On top of that I'm making 3-5 patreon's worth of minis every month for the price of 1 patreon. I could easily make 3 different patreons out of all this. I really don't want 3 patreons to manage and I'm sure you'd all hate to jump between different patreons. So I'm kinda combining that idea into one. But I want to state away NOTHING is changing for present patrons. This will only affect new people after this comes into place (starting next month). I'm going to be breaking up Monstrous Encounters and Galactic Encounters into 2 different tiers. Like they are "2 patreons". I'll also be retiring the present $10 tier (hiding, not actually gone) and for now on there will be a $10 Monstrous Encounters tier, $8 Galactic Tier, and a combined tier for $15. Merchant tier isn't changing. And again this change will only be for new people. All present members will still be getting everything. It would be shitty of me to force people to change their price, not going to do that to anyone. Now if you only want sci-fi and want a little bit cheaper price, then maybe the $8 tier is something you'd want. Below is how the structure and models will go.
- Monstrous Encounters $10
- Warhammer Fantasy Related Lines (Fantasy Battles, Mordheim, HeroQuest, etc)
- D&D
- Retro Remakes, all fantasy versions
- Galactic Encounters $8
- Warhammer 40k Related Lines (40k, Nectomunda, etc)
- Modern Mayhem (survivors)
- D&D Spelljammer
- Starfinder
I think it's pretty easy to understand the fantasy stuff goes with the fantasy tier and the sci-fi stuff go with the sci-fi tier.
Anything else will be for both tiers like dungeon tiles and scatter terrain. Those are just bonuses for everyone.
***And let me repeat again, none of you (present patrons) will need to change anything nor will you get less. Nothing changes for you.***
6. Retro Remakes Sci-Fi ??? - Are there any sci-fi lines that can be part of retro remakes? I can't really think of anything.
7. Monthly Painting Contest - Starting next month there will be a monthly painting contest. The winner will get the following month after the contest for free. So for example June there is a painting contest June 1st to 30th is entry time. July I pick the winner and give July month for free to the winner. (As of right now the only way I know to do that is to refund the the patron for that month.)
8. Instagram - I started one, but it still seems that haven't changed it to where you can add pics on PC. I don't use a phone really. So seems like a lot of work where I'd have to save every pic on my phone to add there. instagram.com/monstrousencounters
But if you use it, you can finally tag the patreon there.
---------------------------------------------------------------
I hope none of these changes make anyone too mad. But I need to try new things. If you look at STLTOP I've been surpassed by other patreons and there are 3 others that are closing in on surpassing me. My growth is slow and like I mentioned before, I have around a monthly 30%-50% cancel rate. I've got to try new things.

Rifts would be awesome. Never really cared for the mini sculpts from the old line, but I"ve always wanted some good looking Coalition soldiers with dog boys and mind stalkers and SAMAS suits, and of course the Iconic Glitter Boys.
