Bretonnia Unit List
Added 2020-09-11 00:48:14 +0000 UTCSo as you see I've gone ahead and started on Bretonnia. One of the main reasons I went ahead with doing the army were people's comments that they wanted my style. That hit the right spot to get me motivated to do the army. Here is the list of units I'll be making. I'm using the Warhammer Armies Project 9th ed book for all the armies. The book as some old returning units and a few new ones. An if you notice there are more warmachines. Brets had more warmachines back in 3rd ed.
Lords
- Bretonnian Lord
- -----on Warhorse
- -----on Pegasus
- -----on Hippogryph
- Prophetess of The Lady
- -----on Warhorse
- -----on Pegasus
- -----on Unicorn
Heroes
- Paladin
- -----on Warhorse
- -----Pegasus
- Damsel of The Lady
- -----on Warhorse
- Templar Crusader
- -----on Warhorse
- Faceless
- Priestess of Shallya
Core
- Knights Errants
- Knights of the Realm
- Men-at-arms
- ---- In Medium Armor
- Bowmen
- Peasant Mob
- Truffle Hounds
Special
- Questing Knights
- Foot Knights
- Pegasus Knights
- Squires
- Yeomen
- Grail Pilgrims
- Herrimaults
- Brigands
Rare
- Grail Knights
- Hippogryph Knights
- Spirit of the Fay
- Sacrosanctum of The Lady
- Ballista
- Mangonel
- Field Trebuchet
- Bombard
- Pot-de-fer
And of course all the special characters
A lot of these can be made at the same time. So seems like a lot, but many units can be made from others. For example the foot knights are just knights of the realm on foot. men-at-arms and bowmen are the same models.
Comments
Any chance you can add Brotherhood units from Kings of War as well as any Equitaine units not covered there? I'd love to have ONE army with the same aesthetic which I can use for all three games and cover every unit in all three armies. For example, I'd love to see Ogre Palace Guard and High Paladin on Dragon.
2021-08-02 03:39:56 +0000 UTCYeah that was herohammer. Herohammer was fun back in the day, but year it came down to who had the best lord. For the WAP books, it's a good mix of 8th and 6th ed with other parts of editions mixed in. The discord for it is pretty busy.

Well damn man, that sure looks like the WHFB I played back in the early 90s before GW went and screwed it all up. I mean... has anyone used that system? Is it really as tasty as this old Grognard thinks it is?? 4th edition was pretty good... then 5th was basically whoever had 1175pts tied up in Chuck Norris in invulnerable armour wielding a lightsaber and riding a flying Tyrannosaurus Rex shitting out fear and rainbows would just Leroy Jenkins across the table and win the game single handedly in 2 turns. So how does this "Project" rules play out? More like 3rd/4th (or Warhammer Historical) with emphasis on block troops or 5th edition "HeroHammer" nonsense.
