The Intersect Chapter 4

“Alright class, that’s where we will be ending things for today,” said the Sensei as he shut his notebook before smiling at his students, “Make sure get your homework done by tomorrow.”
“Yes sensei,” replied the classroom.
“Excuse me, Sensei?” asked a pink haired girl.
The blue haired teacher turned to his student, “Yes, Sakura?”
“Um…are you doing okay?” asked Sakura.
The teacher was surprised for a moment before smiling once more, “I’m doing fine, Sakura, I just had a frustrating meeting at highschool is all.” He said before walking towards the door, “Speaking of which, I know it’s early in the year but make sure you decide which high school you guys want to head to here soon. Highschool will be here before you know it.”
“Yes, Shiota sensei.” Responded the students.
Sakura stood there for a moment as she looked at the door. “Something still doesn’t feel right.” She then noticed some of her classmates looking at her, “It’s not just me right but didn’t Shiota sensei seem a little off today.”
“Now that you mention it, he did leave quickly today and without volunteering to help anyone.”
Soon the rest of the class realized that Sakura was correct and something was wrong. “I hope everything is okay,” said Sakura.
Outside walking away from the school towards his vehicle was Shiota sensei who paused for a moment. “You’re here.”
Six then walked out from behind one of the vehicles, “Sorry, I thought the sooner we got this over with the better, but I have to say this is the first time I’ve ever seen you truly angry, Nagisa Shiota.”
Nagisa turned to Six letting his anger out, his face kept the smile but veins of pure anger popped on his face and his eyes screamed he was ready to kill. “That’s because your little mission for me showed me several who don’t deserve the title teacher.”
Six then felt a wave of true killing aura that would make an average person piss themselves, ‘So this is the kill intent of an assassin worthy of the title God of Death.’ Thought Six before stepping forward, “Come on let’s take this somewhere else before one of your students sees you.”
Nagisa calmed down a little and followed Six, “Yes that would be wise and I have the records of Izuku Midoriya like you asked.”
“Good.”
~o~
Izuku Midoriya was currently walking down the street like normal, but he made sure to avoid as many cameras as possible. He gave a sideways glance at his target, ‘Okay, it looks like the coast is clear.’ He then moved closer to the building while making sure no one was looking towards him, ‘I practiced this, this should work.’ He looked at the building in front of him and the Intersect instantly targeted the correct apartment and every place he could grab to get up there.
*”The wall is perfect, with your grip strength you should have no problem climbing to the target's apartment.”* said the Intersect
‘Let’s do this then.’ Thought Izuku as he quickly grabbed the wall and began to start climbing, hand over hand he started to ascend the side of the building ‘Hard to believe I’m actually climbing the side of the building like some sort of spider.’
*”With the correct grip strength climbing a brick wall is quite easy, even one that doesn’t have as many large gaps like this is easy for those who know how to do it. Several athletes used to do something like this on game shows like Ninja Warrior.”* Said the Intersect.
‘I know but I doubt they ever used that skill to break into someone's house,’ Thought Izuku before stopping the Intersect from giving other examples. He was then able to get to the seventh floor balcony. He took a quick peek down below to make sure that no one saw him and was looking up. ‘Alright step one is done.’ Izuku then walked to the balcony door and took out his new homemade phone, it was made out of old parts he was able to steal from the Buy More. This phone however was designed for a lot more than a regular phone, Izuku then pointed it at the door causing it to scan it and find an alarm. With a press of a button on the phone Izuku was able to disable the alarm and unlock the door. “Seriously, a phone made in a Chicago basement from over a hundred years ago can still get through security.”
*”That phone was developed and made for one of history's most infamous hackers.”* said the Intersect. *”You should get moving though, the hero is expected to return in a couple of minutes.”*
Izuku then immediately went around the small apartment locating the computer and spots to set the trap. Getting into the computer was easy, saying it was child's play would be an understatement. ‘Having a super computer in your head makes this stuff easy.’
*”Yes, now I’m sure you see why so many people wanted the Intersect.”*
‘I realized that ages ago,’ Thought Izuku as he got into the computer and plugged in the usb, “Alright, now to get into the hero database I just need to get a retinal scan, fingerprint scan and a hero Id.” Izuku then sighed, “It makes sense that they would have such high security for this information but it does make it tough for me.” Izuku stood up from the chair and rolled it towards the entrance.
Izuku looked around the apartment, it was a small one bedroom one bathroom apartment with a living room. *”That spot on the edge of the kitchen should be the perfect spot for the chair.”*
Izuku nodded in agreement. “Now I just have to wait.”
~o~
Six and Nagisa sat down on an empty table in an empty park with coffee. Six blew on his coffee before taking a sip, “So I’m guessing what you found wasn’t great?”
Nagisa put down his cup as he grabbed a folder from his bag, “What I found was disgusting.” Nagisa placed the folder in front of Six, “Those so-called ‘teachers’ at Aldera Middle school should be shot.” Six looked up from the file, visibly surprised by Nagisa’s anger, “Those teachers bent over backwards trying to sabotage his education, that boy practically taught himself everything.”
Six looked over the file and noticed that Izuku had two copies of test scores, one clearly lower than the others, “They altered his test scores, why?”
“To save their image,” said Nagisa as he pointed at two news clippings, “Aldera had several prodigies walk through their doors recently, including three students with intelligent enhancing quirks.”
Six quickly read the paper, “They took the top spots in the prefecture, I’m guessing that's incorrect.”
“Izuku and another student took the first and third spot respectively, but having a quirkless student out do students who have quirks that should make them a shoe in, would make them look bad.” said Nagisa as he was getting angry, “It also didn’t help that one of the students who had an intelligence quirk is the son of the director of education for the city, he allowed them to alter his scores and even give him false studying materials to try and make him fail.”
Six looked over and saw a few assignments that were given to Izuku, “He corrected the question so that they would make sense. He knew that they were sabotaging him.”
Nagisa nodded, “Yeah it became quite clear, several teachers tried to convince him that he should just go to online classes, but those don’t look good on paper for hero schools and he had a dream.”
“To be a hero,” said Six as he already knew a bit about Izuku. “All of this just because he was born without a quirk.”
“Welcome to Japan,” said Nagisa with venom in his voice, “The home of the great All Might, heroes around here are a big deal and not in a good way. Everyone wants to be a hero around here, but a lot of them do it for fame or power, not a lot of them are like Izuku. Take the hero Uwabami for example, my wife has come home a few times with complaints about that so-called hero. She is a walking advertisement, does every commercial, every movie deal, and barely does any hero work. It pisses my wife off to the point she’s thought about causing an accident for Uwabami during their next photo shoot.”
“How does a hero like that still find work, doesn’t the Japanese government have something to cut off heroes like that?” asked Six.
“They used to, but it was too extreme and now according to a friend of mine on the inside they are too busy arguing on a new method to do anything.”
Six could read between the lines, “They had someone kill the other heroes who couldn’t live up to the title.”
“Lady Nagant,” said Nagisa, “Officially she was a hero that went mad and killed a few people, unofficially she was the government's hitwoman, who would go around killing the heroes the government ordered her to kill.”
“I see, so due to the hero society of the country, those without quirks are ostracized to the extreme. Even a kid like Izuku who has incredible intellect and perseverance for dealing with this shit, is treated like he’s lower than dirt.”
“That’s putting it lightly,” said Nagisa as he took a drink of his coffee, “So what has this child gotten into, because if he’s done something criminal, I don't think I could blame him at this point.”
“I won’t lie he’s in danger, but we’re hoping to keep him out of trouble right now,” said Six.
Nagisa then gave him a dangerous smile. “Well if you need any help making sure his teachers stay on the straight and narrow, I will be happy to help.”
“I thought you swore off the assassin's life.”
Nagisa continued to smile and for a moment Six felt as if he was in a den of snakes, “I’m not saying I would kill anyone but as a teacher, I would follow my duties and teach them a lesson that they would never forget.”
Six gave a small smirk, “I might be calling you soon then.” Six then hoped that Izuku wouldn’t do anything stupid until then.
~o~
“Ah man, what a pain,” said a woman as she climbed the stairs, “They all just run and none of them put up a good fight at all. A whole sixteen hours is a waste, maybe it’s time to double check a different city for a fight.” The woman then opened the door to her apartment, “I guess I’ll take a shower, get a drink and go to bed and hope for a better fight tomorrow.” As she stepped in she felt something was wrong with her apartment.
“Hi Mirko,” came a voice.
Mirko looked over to see a guy wearing a ski mask and goggles, hiding his identity. “Who the fuck are you?”
The man raised one of Mirko’s kitchen knives at her, “A guy who needs your finger.” This caused Mirko to snort.
“Ha,” Mirko then jumped in the air ready to kick the man in the face. “How about a kick to the face.” The man began to duck low which Mirko predicted, ‘They all try that but that won’t be fast enough for me to simple adjust my kick,’ as she aimed her leg slightly lower, ‘Say good night idiot-’
“Idiot,” said Izuku as he saw Mirko get hit by three darts. One in the back, one in the arm and the last in the leg. ‘I wasn’t expecting her to be this predictable.’
*”It seems the records we have of her are quite accurate.”* said the Intersect.
Mirko quickly felt her body go numb while in the air, ‘Tranquilizer!’ She then looked at the one that hit her arm and followed it and saw a small device, ‘A dart launcher!’
‘Those dart launchers I took from the support kids at my school work perfectly, they deserve passing grades,’ Thought Izuku as he reached out and caught Mirko before she hit the ground. Mirko then quickly tried to use her none numb side to lash out at Izuku, “Not yet,” as he quickly turned using the momentum to toss Mirko into the dollar store office chair.
“You bastard!” Yelled Mirko before Izuku was infront of her pushing her to her computer which she saw was opened up on the hero's private network, “My finger!” she realized too late. As she turned to the intruder Izuku had the webcam in her face, as she was distracted with the camera, he grabbed her hand and pressed her finger on the pad. “Shit!” Mirko tried to use her good leg to stand.
“Sorry,” said Izuku as he kicked the chair and Mirko away before placing her hero Id in the card reader.
Suddenly the computer said welcome back Mirko.
Mirko saw the computer, ‘When did he take my card?’ she then remembered how he caught her, ‘He must have reached into my back pocket when he caught me. He now has access to the Hero Network.’ Mirko's look of horror turned to rage, “YOU SON OF A BITCH!”
Izuku quickly turned in time as Mirko used all of her power to jump at him, ‘Oh shit!’ Even with the Intersect accelerating his brain, Mirko was coming at him fast. Izuku reached into his pocket and tossed out a small pillow the size of his hand, ‘Luckily I stole this as well. EMERGENCY IMPACT AIRBAG!’
The airbag expanded right in between them causing Mirko to hit it, “This isn’t stopping me!” yelled Mirko as she kicked the bag away. While keeping enough momentum to keep after Izuku.
‘She kicked it! Those darts are supposed to be filled with horse tranquilizer!’ Thought Izuku.
*”Izuku, her momentum has decreased enough for you to grab her.”* Stated the Intersect.
‘Right!’ Thought Izuku as he moved to quickly catch Mirko before she hit the ground, but before he could toss her once more she tried to kick again but couldn’t, ‘Now it kicks in.’
“You son of bitch,” said Mirko in frustration as she tried to move but was losing feeling in her body. “I am not going down like this.”
“Sorry,” said Izuku honestly before reaching towards the keyboard activating the program on the usb.
Mirko watched this but couldn’t move to stop anything, “What are you doing?”
“Look I’m really sorry,” said Izuku as he picked her up bridal style, “I’m sorry but I have a job to do, I’m not used to doing physical stuff like this, I hack mostly.” As he brought her to her bed and gently put her down.
“Are you fucking kidding me, I’m getting put down by a fucking nerd.” yelled Mirko.
“Oh don’t worry ma’am I’m not going to kill you or anything like that, I’m just after the Hero Network,” said Izuku trying to reassure her, “And I was only really able to take you down due to prep time and surveillance. If I fought you fair and square I would be dead without a doubt.”
“Fuck…you…” she tried to speak but was getting hard to speak.
“Don’t worry that stuff should wear off in 48 hours, in the meantime you will get a lot of well deserved sleep,” said Izuku, “Heroes need their rest and by the time you wake up I’ll be gone, but you might need a new computer, in fact see this as a lesson to up your security, cause if I could do this then someone much worse could do the same.”
Izuku tried to step away but Mirko’s hand reached out and grabbed his shirt, “I…will….kick….your….asssssss…..”
Izuku was frozen for a moment before slowly removing Mirko’s arm from his shirt, “Holy shit this woman is terrifying.”
*”She shouldn’t have been able to move that much with that much tranquilizer in her system.”* Stated the Intersect.
“That’s why she’s a pro,” he said out loud as he stepped away from the hero and back to the computer where the program was copying all of the data from Hero Network and transferring it. It might be a bit much but information was power, the only power he currently had so taking it all would help get him more information and it would throw off the heroes when they find their info has been taken.
Izuku immediately felt ashamed for what he’s doing, *”I know you think this is wrong but it will help you in the future to be a better hero and to make sure your mother is safe.”* stated the Intersect reminding Izuku of the long term.
‘I know but still, stealing and beating up heroes just seem wrong.’
*”You didn’t beat her up, you just knocked her out using a trap, after she worked for over sixteen hours, underhanded yes, but necessary in the long run.”* said the Intersect.
‘That doesn’t make me feel better,’ Thought Izuku as he quickly cleaned up around the apartment, grabbing all the dart launchers, darts and the Emergency impact airbag. By the time he gathered everything and cleaned up the apartment his program was done and he confirmed on his phone that all data was copied and transferred to his spare computers.
Unbeknownst to Izuku outside on the opposite building, Hei was watching alongside the avatar of his wife, “The kid is good, he kept the noise to a minimum and before he climbed the building I lost track of him. If you weren’t here Yin, I wouldn’t be able to know what happened inside, have any of the other residents wondered what’s going on.” Yin shook her head which surprised him. “They all think she's just frustrated or throwing a tantrum don’t they.” Yin nodded, “So she’s loud off the job as well, so they don’t think anything the wiser, the kid picked the perfect target. A high ranking hero in a non secure building that is loud and headstrong.” Yin then pulled Hei’s arm, “He’s moving? Okay let’s meet back up with Six and see what he’s found on the kid and then let’s see what Izuku does next.”
~o~
Izuku made it back to his new apartment, it was extremely bare bones at the moment, his mom was out with his aunt and cousin. He double checked his phone seeing that she was still across town and Mitsuki had joined in. “That’s good, it looks like they won’t be done for a little while longer, I can double check the info I got.”
*”Recommend making it quick as your mom maybe back sooner than expected.”*
‘Noted,’ Thought Izuku as he went to his new closet and his small hidden horde of terabyte hard drives that was connected to a few computers he was able to salvage from the Buy More. Izuku used his laptop to connect to his makeshift hub and opened up the database. He then saw his current files on Dr. Ujiko, he then closed it as he opened up the hero database. Thanks to the compression process that the Ring invented he was able to safely store all of the Hero Database in his closet hub. ‘I don’t have time to look through all of this but I can look at one incident,’ As Izuku opened up the files by date and searched incidents involving All Might. It led Izuku to a file that was heavily redacted, “Okay this must be the right direction.”
*”Cross reference the incident file with other files, on the same date and same area.”* suggested the Intersect.
Izuku quickly did so and found something that scared him, he quickly scanned the files and began to read key parts. “Family kidnapped, Missing Shimura family, odd movement at the docks, All Might sighted near the scene, All Might stake out confirmed, records of All Might giving chase, aftermath of fight, bodies found at sight inside shipping containers from the docks, names of bodies redacted, bodies match Shimura family, news redacted, incident redacted, family records redacted.”
Izuku was frozen as he looked at the files, *”Conclusion from files, Shimura family kidnapped by All For One, All Might used the kidnappings to locate All For One. They fought and they both became injured. Sometimes during the fight, the Shimura’s were killed and All Might hid the information for some reason.”*
Izuku began to breathe heavily and it was clear it began to disrupt the Intersect as it caused it to glitch but he wasn’t paying attention. “All Might used my family, the family of his mentor, he was staking out at the docks, he saw them get taken, they died so he could have a fight…They died for nothing,” Memories of his mother crying in front of her family's grave, “They suffered for nothing.”
“That doesn’t sound like All Might’s M.O.” came a voice, Izuku turned around to see Hei who was looking at the computer screen. “Kind of hard to get the full picture from all these redacted files.”
The Intersect immediately accelerated Izuku’s brain, *”WARNING WARNING WARNING! That is the former mercenary of the Black Knight’s second squad Captain Hei aka BK 201 aka the second most dangerous man in the world. His quirk can allow him to destroy entire cities if he wanted to. He can alter matter on a quantum level. In theory if he wanted to, he could cause atoms to split. Even without his quirk he is a deadly assassin with skills that are super human. He is currently wanted all over Asia, including here in Japan. Threat level is immense, you have no chances of beating him.”*
‘I’m dead!’ thought Izuku as he tried to think of his best options.
“Do you honestly want to fight?” asked Hei. Izuku slowly shook his head, “Good.” as Hei then took a seat on Izuku’s bed, “So what exactly is your plan here?”
“Huh?” was all Izuku could say as a world renowned assassin was in his room. Izuku knew he had to say something, “Uh find the truth about what happened to my family, stop All For One, see if his doctor really did steal my quirk, have him arrested as well, then use my new gifts to become a proper hero and lastly somewhere along the way find the people who killed my father and turn them in as well.”
Hei was silent for a moment, “You said a doctor stole your quirk?”
“Yeah, when I was young, Dr. Ujiko told me I didn’t have a quirk but he works for All For One, who I assume you know about.”
“Japan’s boogeyman who has the power to steal other peoples' quirks, yeah I know of him,” said Hei. “So do you really think you can stop him, even with that computer in your head, it’s going to be an uphill battle. The man has lived for over a hundred years, he hasn’t lived that long by being careless.”
“As I am now, no there's no way, but with enough training and gear I know it’s possible, I’m sure if you’ve been following me then you know I was able to take down Mirko today.”
“That was not an achievement, not a good one. Hot heads like them are easy to deal with if you have enough prep time and resources.” argued Hei, “She underestimated you, she was unprepared for a trap and you targeted her after she got done with a long shift. In the end of the day you got lucky and I’m sure the computer in your head agrees.”
*”He is not wrong.”* stated the Intersect.
Izuku ignored the Intersect, “Yeah but what exactly are you going to do, you’re a wanted man here in Japan.”
“That doesn't mean I can’t break your legs and put you in the hospital for a few months.” stated Hei in such a calm tone that it sent a chill up Izuku’s spine.
Izuku summoned all of his courage and stood tall in front of the second most dangerous men in the world. “That isn’t going to stop me. YOU are not going to stop me. I will stop All For One for what he did to my family, I will make sure my mom and my remaining family stay safe. I will stop the Ring avenge my father and I will fulfill my fathers wish and become a hero just like I dreamed of. You nor Six, or whoever sent you guys will stop me.”
Hei’s face hadn’t changed at all through Izuku’s speech and remained silent afterwards. Hei looked past Izuku to see the faded image of his wife and knew if she was here, she would agree with what he was thinking. “Okay.”
Izuku blinked for a second and had to repeat what Hei said in his head twice before he caught up, “I’m sorry, what?”
Hei stood up, “I said okay, I’ll help. You can use some of my spare gear for now, that ski mask and goggles won’t work from here on out, in exchange I want the info you got, especially on this Dr. Ujiko.”
Izuku was just stunned and wide eyed, “I…uh….okay.”
“What the hell.” They both turned to see Six standing in the doorway. “This wasn’t part of the plan.”
“It is now,” said Hei.
“Does Cecil know about this?” asked Six, causing Izuku to raise an eyebrow and asked the Intersect.
“No, aside from the first day I got here, I haven’t reported back to him once.”
“What? Why?”
“The situation has changed,” said Hei as he walked towards Six, “Not to mention the kid just found a lead to the guy that took down the former number one.”
Six froze and looked surprised or as surprised as Six could look, “Are you sure.”
“Yep. This job became a whole lot bigger.” said Hei.
“Former Number One,” Izuku repeated, “You mean the former most dangerous man in the world?”
Six was silent for a moment before turning to Hei, “You sure about this?”
“The kid was already in deep before either of us got here. Just like Shion and Rex.”
Six was silent for a brief moment, “Fine.”
“Whoa whoa, hold up, hold up,” yelled Izuku, getting their attention, “What is going on here?”
“We’re helping you,” said Hei simply.
“But you have to follow our lead, understand.” said Six, “The less this gets out the better.”
“That still doesn’t explain much at all. I mean was the Cecil guy you were talking about the head of GDA?!”
“Yes but he doesn’t know about this.” stated Six.
“He maybe our boss, but we don't listen to him much.” said Hei casually. “We’ll start tomorrow with that doctor guy.”
“I’ll get intel on him tonight and-” started Six before the three of them heard a door.
“Izuku, I’m home, your Aunt and cousin are here.” shouted Inko.
“Shit you guys-” Izuku stopped as he turned to see the two men gone as if they vanished from thin air, but Izuku quickly saw an open window. “I got to learn that trick.”
*”It is quite simple to learn, but the plan now has clearly changed.”* stated the Intersect.
Izuku looked out the window at two figures standing on top of the opposite building. ‘Maybe not,’ Thought Izuku, ‘Maybe my luck is turning and I finally got two allies on my side, or babysitters, either way I can’t ditch them yet.’
*” It would be very difficult to avoid them now.”*
~o~
Outside the two watched as Izuku greeted his family, “That’s good, they do seem a little happy.” said Hei.
Six held out Izuku’s folder towards Hei, “Is this why you agreed to help the kid, because he’s suffered enough?” asked Six.
“That and if I didn’t help him he would still do it anyway,” said Hei, “With everything he’s learned recently, he’s one step away from becoming something bad, this way we can help him and hopefully a good win can keep him from turning out like us.”
“That is fair,” said Six as he looked down at Izuku. “He really is nearing the edge. If he gets any closer he might not come back. Who is this doctor you spoke of?”
“I only got a name, but it’s Doctor Ujiko and he might be our ticket to an even bigger fish.” said Hei.
“All For One.” said Six as he gave a small sigh, “Alright, that should be a good fish to grab.”
“Will you tell Cecil?” asked Hei.
Six thought for a moment, “No, I only worked for Cecil because White Knight is gone and Fury asked me to help out the GDA. There’s only one person I tell everything to and he’s not the one.”
Hei turned to the avatar of his wife before looking back at Six, “I know what you mean. So you're alright with raiding a hospital tomorrow?”
“I can do that but are you sure about bringing the kid?” asked Six
“He’s going to show up either way. Do you want to watch him or me?”
Six didn’t respond immediately, “That will be the toughest decision tonight.”
