Naruto Team Sannin Chapter 11

Chapter 11: Kage Fight

Yagura stared down Zabuza and Raiga, and took a deep breath and closed his eyes. He could hear the fighting behind him, he knew his forces were having trouble handling the rogue nin, ‘The odds really have turned against me.’ Yagura opened his eyes, “NO!” As Yagura began to pull chakra from his tailed beast, “This isn’t where I die, this is where I shall make your graves.”

‘Shit,’ Thought Naruto as he felt the three tails’ power coming from the Mizukage. ‘If the three tails comes out-’

“Then this will be even more of a blood bath,” said Kurama, “I highly doubt Isobu would be calm enough to hold back, Yagura’s rage would cause him to go berserk and I wouldn’t be able to talk him down.”

“We have to stop him quick,” said Naruto out loud.

“Don’t need to tell us twice,” said Zabuza as he spun the now red Kubikiribocho, “His head will be mine.”

Raiga’s Kiba blades spun around him generating a massive amount of lightning, “We shall put an end to this madness-” spoke Raiga before disappearing, “AT ONCE!” he yelled as he reappeared right next to Yagura with both blades in hand as he slammed both of them down at Yagura.

Yagura brought up his staff to block the blades but as he did red lightning jumped off the blade at him, forcing him to lean back and dodge. As the blades hit the water a shockwave of red lightning burst out in all directions hitting him with a small lightning bolt. Yagura had to ignore the pain as his instincts told him to block an attack from behind, he quickly spun round to see Zabuza swinging his sword at him, Yagura raised his staff to intercept but when their weapons collided the Kubikiribocho liquified causing his staff to go right through it before it returned to a solid state and heading right for Yagura’s head. Yagura leaned back enough in time for the blade to just knick his head. ‘This is bad, I can’t block the execution blade and I can’t fully dodge the lightning blades.’ Thought Yagura but was unable to think of a plan as both swordsmen kept on the attack, pressuring Yagura back.

To many of the onlookers the fight was so quick they could barely see the three as they traded blows, moving too fast for them to see and the constant barrage of attacks kicking up the water made it near impossible to keep track of the elite warriors. To those that could see and keep track of the action, they saw the Mizukage being pushed back, forcing to dodge the endless strikes from Zabuza while also having to deal with Raiga sudden lightning attacks stunning him; it wasn’t long before the Mizukage was starting to slow down, but his chakra was growing.

“This is bad.” said Naruto watching the fight.

“Naruto,” Naruto turned to see Naomi help Shinta heal himself, “If that thing gets released we’re screwed.” said Shinta. “Even with those swords and all of us, we won’t be able to beat the three tails.”

“Please tell us you have a plan?” asked Naomi.

Naruto quickly thought for a moment, “I can make a seal that will make it impossible for him to pull out the three tails fully, but it will only work if he doesn’t die, because-”

“Because if he dies, then no matter what the beast is coming out.” Finished Shinta. “I can handle that part, I have a move that will put him out without killing him, but I need him in one place.”

“So do I.” said Naruto dryly.

Naomi sighed, “I really didn’t want to do this.” This got their attention, “You boys owe me for this.” Naomi reached into her pouch and brought out a hand mirror and looked directly at it, “Time for an old trick.”

Naruto and Shinta looked at each other for a moment, “Uh Naomi, what exactly are you doing?” asked Naruto.

“Something that will allow me to reach Yagura and buy you two sometime, but it’s also going to make me leave the fight so you two better finish it.” Naomi looked at the mirror as her reflection looked back at her. “Inner Mind Bridge: Opening Thought Jutsu!”

Suddenly for a moment everything stopped for Naomi, the fighting, her teammates, even her own body was unmoving. The only thing moving was her reflection, who turned around away from the mirror. Naomi found herself in a room she was all too familiar with, a room she absolutely hated. Madam Koru’s private tea room and sitting in the center of the room sat a younger version of herself wearing a small kimono and a grown woman wearing a immaculate kimono that showed her to be of money, with jewelry on her hands and necklaces, earring and even jewels in her hair. Madam Koru wore a little bit of makeup on her youthful face that hid her true age and heinous nature. Even now just looking at her memory Naomi wanted nothing more than to kick the woman’s teeth in, “But now is not the time for that.” said Naomi out loud.

“Now’s the time girl,” said Madame Koru as she sipped her tea, “You wanted to ask me something.”

The younger version of Naomi stared at Madame Koru with a neutral expression, “I would like you to teach me the best genjutsu you know.”

Madame Koru gave a small laugh, “You know you're the first one to ever ask me to teach them a jutsu, most girls ask me about leaving or wanting other clients but you…you want more jutsus.” she said before a serious expression crossed her face. “I hope you’re not asking so you can put our clients under.” she said in the same tone but it was clear by her eyes narrowing slightly that she was getting angry. “You know our clients aren’t just some run of the mill gutter trash, quite a few of them are rogue shinobi and they can tell the difference between the real and the fake, our customers pay for the real deal so that’s what they're going to get, understand.”

“I understand,” said the memory Naomi in a monotone voice, “Though I am just curious as to what the strongest genjutsu would be, is it another illusion or would it be something more?”

Madame Koru smiled a little, “You really are an odd one compared to the others, especially for one who isn’t even old enough to be considered a teenager yet.” Madame Koru paused for a long moment as the room became silent, “Very well, I will show you two techniques that I consider to be strong.”

“Two?” asked the younger version in a bit of surprise but kept the monotone voice.

“Yes, you see several of my assistants believe keeping you around would be a mistake, your attitude to your situation is very concerning to them, but I on the other hand see an opportunity to polish a very rare gem. You’re promoted to tea girl for our higher clients, I’ll introduce you to our resident medical team.”

“We have a medical team?”

“For our big earners and for those in training certain techniques. The two I am going to be showing you are great but depending on how you use them can come with a price.”

“I see, very well I am ready for it.” said Naomi.

Madame Koru stood up and walked over to Naomi and put a hand over cheek and looked into her empty eyes, “Good girl, I’ll make a fine lady out of you yet.” Madame Koru then let go of Naomi and walked across the room to the door, “Who knows the medical staff might also be able to teach you something else, so look forward to this learning experience.”

Memory Naomi bowed, “I will Madame Koru.”

Naomi balled her fist as she felt anger. “You know you don’t have time to be nostalgic.”

Naomi blinked and looked over at the wall to see a picture of Jiraya on the day they first met.

Naomi took a deep breath, “Sorry. Though that is one good thing about this technique is that time moves a lot slower here than out there.” said Naomi as she walked of the room into a hallway with many open doors showing memories of her past, the day she met Madame Koru, the day she met Jiraya, the day she arrived at the hidden leaf village. She stopped and took a brief glance at the memory of the brothel burning to the ground to put a quick smile on her face before arriving at a room that when inside was a spacious outdoor garden with a large rock in the center that several people could stand on it and have room to spare. Sitting on one end was another version of Naomi in a meditative stance but this version of Naomi looked exactly like her. Naomi sat across from her mental image of herself and took a meditative stance, “I need full control over my body, I need to focus all chakra into my senses and open the two gates inside the brain.” The other Naomi opened her eyes revealing them to be pure purple, “We have a kage to beat.”

Outside only a few seconds had passed before Naomi’s eyes began to glow purple and she began to output a large amount of chakra which alarmed her teammates, “Naomi!” said Naruto with concern. “Are you opening your chakra gates?”

“It’s worse,” said Shinta as he realized what was happening, “She put herself under a genjutsu to control her inner chakra gates,” Naomi’s chakra then changed from a light blue to a light purple color, “Judging by the color, she’s forcing her first two gates open then skipping all the way to the sixth gate.”

“That’s right,” said Naomi as she looked at them with her pure purple eyes, as she put away her mirror, “This genjutsu gives me increased control over my body and allows me to open the first two chakra gates in my brain.”

Naruto then understood how it was working, “But instead of just increasing the output, it’s also redirecting it inward towards your brain. That could kill you.”

“Unfortunately we don’t have any more time to discuss this.” said Naomi as she pointed to the fight.

They turned to see that the fight had gotten more intense as Yagura began to pull more and more chakra from Isobu. With a mighty roar, Yagura’s chakra formed three long chain-like tails from his back that immediately began to attack the two swordsmen. Zabuza tried to block the first tail but a second one came and hit him hard. Raiga wasn’t able to dodge either as the tail hit the water and a blast of water shot up right at Raiga, hitting him back.

“Naomi’s right,” said Naruto as he reached into his jacket and pulled out the black scroll from earlier, the same one he used to unlock the power of the blades. “Kurama, it’s time for us to kick it into high gear as well.” Naruto’s chakra output increased as his chakra began to turn red and the scroll he was holding began to leak out a thick black ink that began to float in the air. “Shinta, get those two idiots ready for one final attack, me and Naomi will get you an opening, just make sure you don’t kill the bastard.”

“On it, go kick ass you guys.” said Shinta. Suddenly the two shinobi disappeared in a burst of speed.

Yagura took a moment to breathe as he saw the two swordsmen get back up from the last assault, but before he could finally counter attack the two he saw a purple blur running toward him. ‘It’s the girl, the one who insulted me earlier along with the Uzumaki and the son of the reaper. She also must be just as skilled as the other two. I need to eliminate her before she can try anything.’ Yagura thought as he instantly changed targets and used his three tails to attack Naomi. The three tails extended outwards at an incredible speed aiming right at her, almost nobody was fast enough to even see the attack but before it could land, Naomi had side stepped out of the way dodging the tails, ‘What?!’ Yagura then used a single tail to quickly hit her but she jumped over it while pulling out several strands of ninja wire that began trailing behind her as she landed on one of the tails and kept running towards Yagura, who responded by using his tails to swipe or launch water bullets at her, but she kept dodging all of them. ‘How? A Kekkei Genkai…No, this is something else, the way she moves away from the water bullets, it’s as if she knows where they are coming from, is this an ability to see the future?’ Yagura then noticed that while Naomi’s eyes were purple they were also bleeding. ‘What?’

“Sweet Kami this hurts,” yelled Naomi in her mental world, though the garden she was meditating in was now covered in vines with large thorns that pierced her skin and continued to grow. She looked up and saw Yagura’s face lose the confused look, “Oh so he figured it out, this technique speeds up the brain to incredible speeds, right now to me the world is going hell a slow but every moment I feel the pain coming from my body to keep up with my thoughts, the other downside is the fact any other pain I feel will be twice as bad, but I now can calculate where each and every single one of your attacks are coming from, so good luck trying to hit me asshole.” Naomi breathed as a vine began to wrap around her, “Naruto hurry up.”

‘A poor man’s Byakugan,’ thought Yagura, ‘Impressive but with way too much drawback for it to be worth it. You can only hold it for so long, a desperate gamble that will cost you your life.’ As Yagura stopped his attacks and let Naomi have an opening as he readied his staff, ‘Come and die child, I’ll make it quick.’

Naomi saw this and smiled, “Gotcha.” As she suddenly jumped off the tail but instead of jumping directly at Yagura she jumped sideways pulling on her ninja wire.

Yagura then noticed while she was running and dodging attacks she was wrapping and looping around his tails, ‘She’s wrapped her wires around my tails.”

Naomi went through several hand signs, “Electric Discharge jutsu”, Naomi sent the electric charge of chakra through the wires. Suddenly the wires around the tails tightened forcing the tails to cluster together.

Yagura saw this and scoffed, “Pathetic, you used so much chakra to get close you didn’t have enough for a decent lightning release.” Yagura then used the now-binded tails to hit Naomi out of the air, like swatting a fly. Yagura briefly saw blood come out of Naomi’s mouth before the purple chakra she was emitting disappeared, before Naruto caught Naomi before she could hit the water. Suddenly Yagura felt something wrong, very wrong. He looked down and saw a massive gash appear on his chest as Naruto appeared in front of him. “What?!” Yagura quickly realized that Naomi was a distraction so Naruto could strike before Yagura realized what was going on. Yagura tried to jump back but found his legs stuck, he looked down and saw that his legs were wrapped in a seal of some kind.

“You’re not going anywhere.” said Naruto as he raised his arm for another attack.

Yagura reflexively tried to get his chakra tails to move but realized that his connection to his tails had been cut, ‘When did he cut my tails?’ Wondered Yagura as he quickly raised his staff to defend himself. Naruto then quickly cut the staff in two along with giving Yagura another wound. Though Yagura ignored the pain as he became fixated on Naruto’s weapon. ‘A black blade!’ Naruto was holding a black blade but what everyone quickly noticed was that the handle was a scroll and the blade itself was solid ink. ‘It can’t be?’

The blade also got the attention of every single person watching “A scroll blade?” said Raiga.

“That blade, is that what I think it is?” asked Zabuza.

“It is,” said Shinta. “The legendary 15th blade, created by the Uzumaki clan. The blade made of sealed ink, the Inkuburedo. The ink blade has the ability to create a hundred seals with each swing, a perfect sword for a seal user. Get ready.”

Naruto then quickly stabbed his blade into Yagura. Blood spilled but not from Yagura, but from Naruto as Yagura took the two halves of his staff and stabbed Naruto, one in the sternum and one in the stomach. “Naruto!” yelled Kurama.

‘I’m fine,’ said Naruto as he twisted his blade, ‘Just stop Isobu!’

In Isobu prison, the large demon turtle was caught off guard as dozens of chains suddenly appeared and began to wrap around him. “What! What is going on.” yelled Isobu as he tried to break the chains, “What are these chains?”

“Yeah you are not going to be able to break those.” came a voice.

“The voice, Kurama?!”

“Hey Isobu,” said Kurama, “Just relax, the seal being placed on you is just redirecting all the chakra you're giving into healing Yagura’s body, Naruto knows that his death will only bring more problems, especially if you get added into the fight.”

“Wait, Kurama!” yelled Isobu but it was too late he was already wrapped up in chains he knew he had no chance of getting out of.

Outside Yagura could feel his connection with Isobu change and warp into something else. “What…how….” That's when Yagura realized Naruto was altering his seal, ‘But to do that he would have to be familiar with the seal…’ Yagura looked down as he was still trying to push both parts of his staff into Naruto but he wasn’t bleeding as much as he should be. “You’re like me!”

Naruto smiled, “No, I’m better.”

Yagura was now furious beyond belief, he had never felt so much anger in his life, but the worst part was he couldn’t use Isobu’s power to vent that anger. Yagura pulled out as much chakra as he could, pooling all of it together around him. “GET AWAY FROM ME!” roared Yagura as he unleashed the burst of chakra sending Naruto back with the staff pieces still sticking out of Naruto.

Though as Naruto was sent back through the air, he smiled and yelled, “NOW!”

Yagura’s eyes went wide as he turned to see both Raiga and Zabuza with their blades raised and coming right down on him. Yagura moved back enough in time to dodge a direct hit but the force of both attacks sent him flying into the air with several new wounds. As Yagura flew through the air he saw Shinta.

Shinta smiled and beat his own chest a few times with his right hand, “Alright, you asshole shotokage, time to go down.” Inside Shinta’s body a massive amount of chakra was unleashed, “8th gate open,” Shinta then spun his staff around as a massive drill head formed at the end. “Reaper Drill” Shinta then disappeared in a flash before reappearing right in front of Yagura plunging the massive chakra drill into Yagura, or so it seemed, while it was massive the chakra wasn’t as solid as it should be making it far less lethal then it should be but making several surface level wounds and breaking all the ribs Yagura had.

‘These brats are monsters.’ was the final thought Yagura had before he was launched across the battlefield, several shinobi had to stop fighting and move out of the way as Yagura skipped across the water before crashing into a couple of rocks that were jettisoned up from the sea.

What was left was the mangled sight of the fourth Mizukage, anyone who saw the body would have automatically assumed he was dead from all the wounds on his body and his limbs being twisted in several directions. Though Naruto could tell that his seal had worked and Yagura still cleaned to life, he wasn’t going to be fighting anyone anytime soon.

Naruto stood tall on the water and pulled part of the staff from his gut, “WE WON!” he shouted before pulling the other half of the staff out, “Now all of you surrender now, unless you want a piece of what we gave Yagura.”

Several of Yagura’s men were frozen with fear but some still had a few stupid ideas, “Yeah right you would just kill us.” yelled one of them.

“We won’t back down so easily, brat.”

“Come on men,” yelled one hidden mist shinobi, trying to rally the others, “We can still turn this around. Use your strongest jutsus, summon anything you can.”

Suddenly a massive puff of smoke spread across the water as a giant figure could be seen inside.

“Shit, one of them actually summoned something.” cursed Zabuza.

Shinta looked at the smoke ready for a fight but as it cleared he smiled, “Relax, this ain’t one of them.”

Naomi looked up along with the shadow clone that was helping her stand, “YOU’RE LATE!”

“Please tell me you didn’t show up at the last minute for some big entrance.” asked Naruto.

“Not for something like this,” shouted a man whose voice came from the top of the figure, the smoke cleared up enough for everyone to see it was a massive frog standing in the water, “Now allow me to repeat my student. Surrender or face the might of the great toad sage, Jiraiya!” yelled the legendary Sannin as he strikes a pose.

“It’s Jiraiya!” shouted Sakura with relief as she watched his appearance with her teammates from the bridge.

“About time.” said Sasuke.

“Actually I don’t think he could have come at a better time.” said Sai.

“I’m just happy he showed up,” said Kakashi.

Jiraiya blinked for a moment as he assessed the situation. “What the hell, why are there Kirigakure nin here, is the water filled with a bunch of dead bodies….is that the MIZUKAGE!!! KAKASHI WHAT THE HELL I LEFT YOU GUYS ALONE FOR LIKE A WEEK.”

Kakashi had a massive tick mark appear on his head, “THIS IS NOT MY FUCKING FAULT, OKAY! First Zabuza showed up, then another rogue nin came and now we have an all out war here and this all happened in the last few hours, SO NOT MY FAULT!”

Jiraiya had to blink for a moment at the fact Kakashi was so bent out of shape, “Okay clearly it’s been a long week for you guys.” Jiraiya then turned back to the group of people down below, “So do you all want to keep fighting or how about walking away and living another day, your choice.” The loyalists to Yagura all turned to each other and quickly realized that this fight was unwinnable against a sannin, especially one that had a giant frog as a summon. Though before they could say or do anything Jiraiya saw something, “And are you here to keep fighting on behalf of Yagura or what?”

Jiraiya’s words left many confused until a new voice was heard across the battlefield. “No, quite the opposite,” Everyone turned to see a woman with auburn hair standing with a small shinobi force behind her, “I am Mei Terumi and I came here to put an end to all of this.”

~o~

“Oh shit,” said Izumi as she and Madara watched from a distance, “It looks like you lost Yagura.”

“Silence woman,” seethed Madara as he stared down at the scene, “How? How did this happen? This should have never happened.” Madara was silent for a moment as he came to a decision, “I’m going to go and retrieve Yagura’s body before the three tails is released.”

“Won’t they try and stop you?”

“I’ll just kill anyone who gets in my way.” said Madara plainly.

“You will do no such thing.” said a monotone voice getting the two Uchiha’s attention.

They both turned to the voice with their Sharingans activated, though they didn’t use any Jutsu as they saw who spoke. “Whoa.” spoke up Izumi as she was surprised at who she saw. “No wonder neither of us notice you.”

Madara stared down the new comer, “What is one of the deadliest Kunoichis in the world doing here?” asked Madara.

The woman spoke in a monotone voice with no emotions whatsoever, “Fulfilling a duty I long forgot.”
