1.7 Progress Report #3

Welcome back to the last progress report before 1.7 launches later this month. Additionally I want to give a warm welcome to all the new patrons that joined us this month, there are a ton of you! Can't thank you enough for helping me support the site.

Another tent-pole feature this update will be the ability to organize lists in folders. This has been something that's been requested since lists launched and I'm excited to finally bring it to reality (plus it's something we get to say we did first before Letterboxd 😉)

Here are some of the specifics you can expect when folders launch:

Folders can hold any number of lists, including those that are in other folders
Lists have a new setting that determines if a list in a folder should appear outside of the folder as well (Such as with 2016 Played Ranked as seen above)
Folders are hidden automatically if they are empty or contain only private lists
You can edit folders on both sides, edit the lists in a folder or edit the folders that a list is in
Folders cannot be nested
Folders can be sorted if the sorting applies to them

There have been other non-folder additions / changes as well since last time but I'm going to save those for the blog post when 1.7 releases.
