August Development Update

Hello!

I just wanted to share a quick update on the current status of all things Backloggd, specifically the plan for what's next. As you may already know, the next features in development were already mentioned at the end of 1.9's update article. For a recap they are:

• 1.9 General Content (Bug fixes, small features, and enhancements)

• Patreon Badges Goal (10 new badges from reaching the latest goal)

• Moderation tools (Gives trusted site admins the ability to help me maintain the site's content)

• Visual Redesign (Bring all UI across the site to a unified design)

These four goals are each being tackled separately at different times which is what I wanted to share here.

My current plan is to work on getting the moderation tools out next, it won't be labeled as 1.10 since it's mostly behind-the-scenes, but from a development point of view it'll be just as much work as a major update. So while that's going on I'll also be releasing smaller updates in the form of usual 1.9.X minor releases. That'll include the general content such as bug fixes, enhancements, and some smaller feature requests. These will be released as the moderation tools are in development as in I'll be switching work between the two.

Then after the tools are released work on 1.10 will continue which will contain the visual redesign and new badges. A lot of the redesign work has already started so I'm hoping the gap between the moderation tools and 1.10 won't be too large. I'm also hoping to throw in a couple of medium-sized features but don't want to promise too much just yet.
