Hello hello!
No development update this month because development has finished! After almost one year since 1.9 came out I'm finally ready to unleash the next set of changes for Backloggd, 1.10 will be launching on July 1st.
The reason for the 99% progress is because that last 1% is being spent on thoroughly testing every nook and cranny of the site and patching any bugs before it goes live. It also encompasses prepping marketing materials such as the update blog post and just generally polishing everything I can before go-time. A week might seem excessive for this type of prep but with an update this large I want to make sure it's as smooth as possible when the code is pushed. I'll be making the announcement publicly soon but heads up there'll be a large downtime window of a few hours while this goes out, so definitely save any work before then! Right now I'm planning starting around 11:59pm ET 6/30 but it's not permanent yet. Stay tuned for the maintenance warning banner to have the final time.
Just to put in perspective of how large this update will be, here's the number lines of code changed between the last few releases:
Now higher numbers don't always equal more features, but in this case the changelog length doesn't lie.
Anyway, back to the code mines for me. See you at launch!
