It's been a while since the developer updates moved to being public on Medium, but that doesn't mean I can't have smaller posts here to keep you informed in-between!
Since the GOTY event wrapped up, I'm back to working on the log editor beta which will make its way into the 1.10.5 update (prev. named 1.10.4 before 1.10.4 came out). Again this will start as a Backer beta feature but will work its way to be more public if everything goes well. It'll also be optional during this period so you can opt out if you find you're not liking something about. My plan is to get 1.10.5 out by the end of January packaged with a few other bugfixes / small improvements.
While that's live, I'll hopefully be getting lots of juicy feedback and spend some time addressing it. I also want to implement Patreon integration into the site, so that you'll be able to connect your Backloggd account directly to Patreon. The benefit with this is you'll no longer have to wait when becoming a Backer for perks to apply as it'll be automatic! Then it'll also be a huge benefit for me not having to micro-manage every new Backer that comes in. Definitely a good problem to have, but best to be scalable in the long run. I'm expecting to get this out by the end of February.
After that I plan on putting full focus into 1.11, which will put a spotlight on a newly designed home page. Depending how the log editor goes, this may also be the time it goes fully public. I'd bet on an April launch for this but we'll see as we get closer.
I'm still deciding on a few different paths to go in after that, I certainly know the roadmap could use another box checked off ;)
