A New Way To Discover

I wanted to give a peek at one of the R&D projects I've been working on. This new discovery tool will enable you to find interesting games you haven't yet played! The idea is to provide a quicker, simpler way to find more well received games without having to fine-tune the general "Games" page filters. Having a dedicated space also allows me to play around with more specific parameters (like Game age) that don't make as much sense on the general filters page.
While it doesn't personally recommend you games per se, it does filter out games you've already played to help narrow down on ones you maybe haven't tried yet. A more typical recommendation system would be its own thing later on.
I hope to launch this into beta soon, keep in mind it's mainly an experiment so we'll see how useful it proves over time. I'm sure there are lots more parameters to tweak to get some interesting results!

I agree, I should've considered the implications of singling out any genre. The final version will allow you to select any 3 genres to either include or exclude.

2025-06-16 17:22:35 +0000 UTCI understand this is a work-in-progress, but I find the checkbox to exclude visual novels specifically to be pretty iffy. I can see it be taken the wrong way by fans of that genre, as it implies these are not "real games". I'd suggest a drop-down menu that allows you to check and uncheck certain genres of your choice instead.
